@@cw1345 She was right not to trust him even a little bit. Everything about him screams "liar" and "sociopath" and his own admissions pretty much confirms both. Was every word out of his mouth a lie? No. But that is true of all liars. But he has been killing all but one out of every hundred billion trillion quadrillion pentillion persons for (according to him) eons--all to keep himself alive. He admits to having deliberately tortured Sylvie from the time she was a child, for centuries and centuries after that, starting will slaughtering her entire family and friends. Then he gets impatient when his traumatized victim is still in pain, and rightfully blames him for it. BTW if there were an infinite number of him out there, then he'd had a vast pool of "good" versions of him, ones who'd be helping him maintain the peace. But either he never bothered checking before destroying them (and every single person in their entire universe) or they opposed his act of gigantic genocide trillions of times worse than anything Thanos ever dreamt on. This guy has been self-righteously swimming in the gore of (literally) more children then there are stars in the sky--then demands people trust him.

This finale opened the door for the multiverse, which is coming forward through Wandavision, Spiderman: No Way Home, and the next Dr. Strange (Multiverse of Madness). As a lot of people have already said, the character in the citadel (played by Jonathan Majors) is Kang the Conqueror, for all intents and purposes. Under the unified timeline that "we" have existed in up through Endgame, this version of him has been using the TVA to make sure no other versions of him come into existence for fear of another multiversal war. Sylvie basically killed the "good guy" of the bunch because she wouldn't look beyond her own trauma (understandable), and now we get to enjoy the ramifications of that in our beloved MCU. It should be a wild ride... now go start watching "What If...", your minds will be blown!

@@user-jt1js5mr3f It is and it isn't. The TVA exists outside of time, but when Sylvie killed He Who Remains, the Multiversal War played out again with a slightly different ending. This time, the variant that won decided to run the TVA himself instead of creating the Timekeepers dogma. So to B-15 and Mobius, the events of the series never happened.

Guys, the finale of Loki literally created a Multiverse within the MCU. The "What If?" series came to be because of this finale. Sylvie killing He Who Remains caused timeline branches ALL OVER.

The statue in the end meant that Sylvie sent him back to "their" timeline but it had already been changed. Kang is already the Time-Master and most likely he is not the friendly Kang we saw this episode. The thing that blows my mind is that the only 2 people that know about the War besides him are Loki and Sylvie, both in different places. Next season gonna be wild.

This is how the events of No Way Home happen, without Kang's death the TVA would have arrested Doctor Strange or Peter Parker before he had the chance, now there's free will and the timelines have branched, we get all the Spiderverse!

Basically He Who Remains is a variant of a Thanos level villain called Kang the Conqueror. That’s who He Who Remains was talking about when he said his variants were even worse than him. The sacred timeline kept Kang locked away but now He Who Remains is dead, Kang will be ‘unlocked’ within another branch of the timeline. Kang is from the future and has the power to jump between time and the different universes/timelines.

The end did one thing mainly: Created the next big bad of the MCU. Ravonna is most likely going to try to find He Who Remains is, due to one, the “free will” line & two in the comics, Ravonna is the love interest of this man who is actually mainly an Avengers level threat named Kang I’ll say this, this is one of the few times that Lacey was wrong. That man is 100% telling the truth about what he was telling Sylvie & Loki. She basically freed the single timeline into a multiverse of different events and variants & He Who Remains exists in all of them & the one special variant he was talking about is named Kang the Conqueror. He’s an adversary to the Avengers up there with Thanos. So she effectively created the new big bad of Marvel. But great reaction y’all!

One theory is the TVA is located in the micro verse wich is what is allowing the TVA to track the flow of time & travel thru it. Also "He who remains" is a Immortus version of Kang The Conqueror that a remember from the 90s X-men animated series. I waited for this episode for so long....i give this show for this episode alone a 9/10. cant wait for more Kang the Conquerer in the future. One of my fav villains besides the Joker and Thanos. EDIT: the MULTIVERSIAL War that Kang was reffering to was probally the "Secret Wars" which was a huge Avengersevent in the comics.

You should do reactions to New Rockstar's breakdown of all these episodes, it will definitely help you gain a MUCH deeper understanding of everything that happened, what actually happened at the end, and who the bad guy is. In the future you might consider doing reactions to their breakdowns after reacting to every episode as it will help keep you on track and not be so confused and unable to keep up with the story. I know it helped ME a LOT, and I definitely loved the shows SO much more because those breakdowns ensured that I always understood what was going on despite never having read the comics or even watched all the Marvel movies. Plus their breakdowns and theories are always great fun to watch, and would make for awesome reactions, so it's a win/win situation.

Take a Tony Stark/Shuri/Bruce Banner genius from the future with technology thats over 1000 yrs more advanced than ours. Then let that genius meet millions of other versions of himself to share their technolical advancements and improve them far beyond what people in the 31st century even have. Then give them all time stones to go back to the early 2000's with the intent to conquer, and know that even with all of our outdated abilities & tech, IF we're able to beat him.. he can either go back in time and do it again differently or send back one of his other millions of variants. Nathaniel Richards is in fact the father of Reed Richards of the Fantastic 4 (which we know we’re getting a movie for in the near future) His character opens up a lot of doors for the MCU. His family lineage can lead to many things. That being ties to the F4, in turn brings the Silver Surfer, who works for an even bigger “bad” the world eater himself, Galactus. I’m excited for that. This series was explaining that everyone in every universe (actually the universe itself even) is a variant--there's another version of you somewhere that's more successful and worse off, in a nutshell. He Who Remains is a version of Kang who was less evil; he's also one who's at the end of his journey, one who had time to reflect and did what he thought was right to protect the things he loved, time. Hence; the moto: For All Time. Always. He Who Remains put the entire Multiverse into what the TVA called the sacred timeline and he looped it--the opening sequence was the death and rebirth of the sacred timeline. Time ends just before the 31st century, as He Who Remains was preventing his own birth. While he knows what's going to happen before it happens, sometimes people go astray, and that's why he created the TVA to reset the timeline. He had to reset the timeline, as allowing that deviation to grow would provide an avenue to a future he is trying to prevent. He gave people as much freewill as he could, but anything that led to him was something he would not tolerate, and that's likely why he let the Avengers do what they did--they are the Universe's last defense. If they go, there's no one left to save them from people that would do them all harm. And in the end, it will very likely be the Avengers, along with Loki and Sylvie, who will be the ones to figure this problem out, as He who Remains needs someone that can think outside the box and see a way through this, something that he missed in his million years of ruling. The Answer to this is likely Reed Richards, the leader of the Fantastic Four and also a distant relative of his. Kang is bad news, as you likely gathered from this episode. While he's just a man, his intellect is unmatched. His being from the future gives him access to knowledge and technologies beyond the understanding of our heroes of the present. In the comics, Super Powered people cannot hurt him, and their powers have no effect on him, as his suit nullifies what they can do, and we saw that teased in this series--Magic doesn't work at the TVA because his technology is at work there. He's the one responsible for the Infinity Stones being shiny paperweights in the series. I'm excited to see how Jonathan Majors portrays all the iterations of Nathaniel Richards we are sure to see moving forward. We already saw him at the end of his reign, after he's lived in isolation for a million years. We'll see him next in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania next year, and I assume that that'll be the birth/early years of Kang. As this series is getting a sequel, I suppose we could see the other versions of him there. Anyway, this was a fun ride and I cannot wait to see what comes next. Nice reaction =D

We(non-comic readers) didn't know who Thanos was when he showed up at the end of Avengers 1. All we could gather was that it looked like he would be bigger in the future. Which he VERY MUCH WAS. This episode was an extended version of that scene with this new "big bad" who from the comics, goes by the name of Kang the Conquerer. We know for a fact he will show up again in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantimania. Outside of that....we do not know, I assume Loki Season 2 whenever that comes out and maybe other small cameos too. I guess we only did see Thanos in Avengers, Guardians 1, Age of Ultron then Infinity War/Endgame. So only 3 appearences before he was the main villian. I guess it could be similar with this upcoming Phase 4 and 5. We'll have to see.

The new TVA that we saw at the end of this episode that was Loki in the new TVA, and the TVA that we watched in the first six episodes was destroyed the moment Kang died, because it is impossible for there to be two TVA, only one is needed. After Kang's death, the Multiverse of war will come, and this is what we will see in the movie Spider-Man No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2, and Ant-Man And The Wasp 3. And when Loki saw him in the new TVA, we saw that one of Kang's copies had actually made the new TVA and made a special statue in it that showed his form and not the Time-Keepers statues. By the time Loki's arrival, the multiverse of war had happened and one of Kang's copies had been won. Because time is different on TVA But in the Spider-Man No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2, Ant-Man And The Wasp 3 movies, we'll see the multiverse Of Madness And multiverse Of War, And we'll see Kang's copies.

As many have already mentioned, Loki sets up the new "Thanos," Kang the Conqueror. Poeple who had been keeping up with the casting for Marvel movies were floored when they saw his actor appear, instantly knowing it was Kang. What makes his character sop evil and hard to kill is the very explanation provided by Kang himself. There are an infinite number of him. Kill one, and more will take his place. I'm already expecting to see Kang pop up in other titles, like The Eternals (probably flash back cameos) and other films. I am expecting Fantastic 4 to be the Avengers of MCU Phase 4, as Kang is the descendant of Reid Richards. I do expect Dr Doom to be one of or the villain, but I also expect Kang to be pulling the strings from the side lines. TLDR, expect Kang to be taking the roll of Stan Lee for Phase 4, with him potentially just making an appearances in each movie for Phase 4.

Welcome to the Multiverse!! He Who Remains, Kang, Jerk the new big bad. Its going to be difficult to understand. This should be the same TVA but just changed because a new Kang has come to power. Some people think there is a TVA in each timeline. It is all going to be how the MCU explains it. In the comic there is only one TVA in all of the multiverse and that was built by the last person in charge of the last multiverse. As a multiverse dies a new one is born and it begins to repeat a similar cycle with the TVA in charge of making sure that there are no time anomalies. At least that is the understanding from the comics. In the comics the MCU is just another universe inside the multiverse and the main Marvel 616 universe is where all the comic stories take place. However there are an infinite possibilities of universes so many different stories to tell.

Sylvie is still at the end of time and where Loki is the leader of the TVA is Kang or He who remains whatever you want to call him and we aren’t sure if Loki is in a different timeline or has time already started over and Kang has already taken control of it just like he said he would!! Because where they were was the end of time so he could have already made it back there and done something with Sylvie but we won’t know that part till the next season of Loki!! Also he will be in Ant-Man3 as Kang and I’m sure he will be in multiple movies in the near future because I believe he’s the next big bad like Thanos was
