What a fantastic episode. The set design for Loki Season 2 looks fantastic. This episode's cinematography was excellent. I liked the interaction between OB and Casey. This episode made me crave some McDonald's after watching it. Miss Minutes and Ravonna Renslayer are a formidable team in the making. The sequence with Loki interrogating Brad Wolfe/X-5 was fantastic. Brad Wolfe was an actor who portrayed a serial murderer named Zaniac in the comics; nevertheless, he was eventually overtaken by the actual Zaniac, a demonic monster from the Dark Dimension. I'm hopeful that this season, we'll discover more about Mobius' past before he was abducted by the TVA. I particularly liked the dialogue between Loki and Mobius in The Automat. Sylvie wearing He Who Remains' TemPads, I expect, will have enormous ramifications throughout the series. It was great to see several aspects of Loki's powers in this episode. Loki effectively tells the audience that the Sacred Timeline is a loop, that everything that will happen has already happened, and that the endpoint is a Multiversal War that will end everything. Ouroboros is also a reference to the picture of an ancient serpent eating its own tail: an endless, inescapable circle. When He Who Remains recounts in season 1 that a variant of his discovered numerous timelines layered on top of one another, he's relating the story of an earlier version of Marvel's Sacred Timeline, before the variants clashed over the dominion of the timeline. If it seems familiar, it's because it's exactly what the MCU is building to for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, and the Multiversal War was won by He Who Remains and the TVA, who erected the Temporal Loom, resetting time into the approved Sacred Timeline, the first time out. Secret Wars shattered the Multiverse in Marvel Comics, resetting the Marvel continuity, with just a few characters remembering the events on Battleworld.
