He did have a shot on the 8 be it a risky one. If there is one thing i have learned about corner pockets, it's that you can easily make any ball in the opposite corner pocket. When you're trying to so it though, that's much harder.

1st game, instead of trying a 'Hail Mary' shot on the 10 in the side, you should have clipped the 14 easy tapping the 6 out of the way of the side pocket. Then your opponent would have no shot being blocked by his own balls. Easy safety. Plus both your stripes are now makeable.

Okay, not trying to be mean here but you might want to adjust your shooting. Yes the pros put their chin on the cue but as we age we change. Bending that much tightens things up. Rise up about 6 inches above your cue and you won't be so tight. Your stroke will smooth out. Some adjusting of your aim may be required. Not saying you're old! Just more seasoned then you were! Lol
@Amateur_Pool
@Amateur_Pool 11 ай бұрын
Appreciate the tip but, my tightness comes from a muscle disorder that i have (myotonia congenita), not from getting too far down in my shot, or getting old.

Game 5 was not a double hit either. He’s striking down/punching it which “I think” is causing it to pop up. Also, per the WPA rule book, an unintentional miscue (you might argue he’s miscuing) is not a foul. You should be able to hear a double hit depending upon the noise level.

Definitely a double hit and that may be what caused him to move the 7 ball. I hate to say it was intentional since I don't know the man. So I will chalk it up to the jerking motion from getting the cue stick out of the way. The 7 was not placed back in the same spot because he pointed to the wrong spot.

If you were playing APA then YOU were correct . If the table is open ,ANY shot that pockets at least one ball from each group results in the table remaining open. Which ball the shooter intended to make does not enter into it. Which ball you strike first doesn't matter either , nor does which ball drops first . Only after a shot where only balls from ONE group are pocketed . THEN it is decided . Tell them to read the APA rules manual .

I know what you mean about posting losses. Im a 7 and I lost to a 4 2-0 in 3 innings, because broke dry and missed the first rack and missed twice the second rack and he was shooting at everything. It happens, I can’t be mad because I beat a 7 the same way back when I was a 4, he is a good 7 and he just didn’t think I could run 4 balls. Problem is we only have 4 7s and a handful of 6s in the division, and some are on the same team so it’s not like I get to play one or the other every week, sometimes it’s one of the other or I just play a low rank and it gets boring.

Yeah it sucks and a 3 or 4 that are at the high side of their sl is a tough match for us 7s if you don’t have your A game that night

@@AAAskeet that or now you play the same 6s you were playing even that now you have to spot a game. Then you have the super 7s that would be way higher if the SL went more than 7/9.

One thing that will help your lineup. After you chalk up step back a couple steps. Then step into the line of the shot. Watch the pro's that is what they do
