I did security for them in Houston, Texas on their October Rust Tour. They used the fake snow(suds) that show too. I was working the stage right next to Peter Steele and got covered with the snow. It is one of my favorite memories working security and they're one of my all-time favorite bands. At the end of the show he ripped the strings off his bass and I got one of them. Still got it. RIP Peter Steele

Then i seen them 3 years later in Louisville Ky and it was a different story entirely, he was so drunk he had to sit and he was slurring and you couldn't understand him, i still remember him saying sorry i'm off the wagon n mumbling something. He eventually sobered up n they played for I kid you not over two hours they played songs from every album even world coming down. and the best part was Pete left the stage so Josh took over and started playing Beethoven and the band joined in. RIP Green Man.

Of all the performances, this one really gives me chills how perfect it is. Peter bathed in UV-blue light with his eyes closed/looking down and camera slightly out of focus gives the illusion he has all-white eyes and a gargoyle-like appearance. Peter Steele was mentioned by someone on my Instagram. I looked the guy up a year ago, then a few months later, was recommended a video on YT of his “finest moments in interviews”. I loved his personality and was drawn to him immediately, but once again nothing came of it. This is the first song I chose to listen to yesterday, from Type O, and I’m pleased to say that I’m in love with this band. However, while listening to more clips of his interviews, and getting an overall feel for who he was... You can tell he was a gentle soul and it’s such a shame that his life ended so early. My heart feels heavy right now as I think of him, and although their deaths weren’t similar, it just reminds me of the love I have for Chester Bennington. I hope they are at peace now. As much as I like Type O, the problem is a lot of their songs have really awful sections you have to suffer through to get to the good stuff

Terminxman Well..ok..but that's what makes their music so special and unique too imo.

@Preacher Gannondorf The drums on WCD and LiKM sound ridiculous. They DEFINITELY should have used Johnny on those records.

@@arthurbishop3173 i like the sound of the drums for world coming down, definitely matches with the stripped down and scooped sound they kinda get lost in life is killing me though, where everything has more midrange and density i think the album would have sounded better either with live drums or a similar programmed sound set to october rust, which would have compensated for the previously mentioned fullness and midrange-y-ness with a huge fat drum sound

I was fortunate to me Pete at the Backroom in Austin. Such a humble and down to earth guy. Another good artist taken too early.

@Tsukikoamoonchild Fucker saved me more than once. He took my feelings and made sense of them. I miss him.
