@@bilibili68 Why pit them against each other? I love Ivy, but her songs are mostly more for a dance club or a night of sassy confidence. She's got "ratchet queen" down to a T and she's fuckin glorious - but Lola has that retro vibe, and I love the phrases she fits into her lyrics. Lola is who you listen to when you're chilling at home feeling nostalgic and want something sweet without going full sugar.

"Never Say Never, My Dear." I have seen Lola Blanc in person, outside venues or video. She used to come into the Beverly Hills Public Library. I never spoke with her; only the librarians had that privilege. She dressed boldly, colorfully and struck quite a silent picture. She is quite tall for a woman. I recognized her from both the videos and the night life of Hollywood.

LOL this song is awesome. Especially since it's about how she can never experience orgasm with a lover. XD all the girls did but she didn't and she is disappointed. Like the emotion is there, the devotion is there, but no physical gratification.And all the women say the physical gratification exists but she never experienced it and she wants it to be real thing and not a made up tale but despite everything keeps getting disappointed because it never happens for her. Clever way to put it. I love songs about sex that are represented like this with metaphors. Rather then directly say "hey I can't get off when I have sex with you" she uses magic as the metaphor for orgasm. First of all it's a lot classier. And also lets the song to be interpreted in a lot more ways and be more than about a single thing. So somebody a lot more innocent than myself might miss the fact that it's metaphor for unsatisfying sex and just enjoy the secondary meaning of wanting to believe that magic is real but due to too much experience and also skepticism not being able to believe in it anymore. Really really clever lyrics. Love her. She should be more widely popular.

I would love to know who designed the outfits she wore in the video. They were brilliant and to me original. When she started singin "Float like a butterfly...." I was expecting a different wording, so "Scream like a banshee" was a suprise to me, to the point that was the hook that kept me listening and boy was I not disappointed. I'm from Hollywood and one day I met this young music video starlet the next L.A.Community over, at the Beverly Hills Public library. She walked in one sultry July day and it was unmistakably she: she was stunningly attired, in a classical school girl plaid skirt and a hot cherry colored blouse. She was wearing a beret. Persons stopped to acknowledge her. She is just one of those with a definite presence. Interestingly, I had just discovered her "Don't Say you Do " and this one, "the Magic."
