Luciano Pavarotti cannot be "described" in a comment...Luciano Pavarotti is a heavenly 'experience " that touches your soul... I experienced this wonderful man years ago when I was grieving my beloved father in The UK ..I was alone in his cottage driving back and forth to the nursing home... This is when my crying was done...Luciano purged my soul of the misery that had to have an outlet.. His voice reached deep into my soul and rinsed it out...I am ever grateful for his existence on this beautiful earth..

Bravo to you for not interrupting this masterpiece. Pavarotti, the symphony orchestra and the composer, Puccini (born 1848) were all brilliant.

I have heard this aria so many times & it still makes me cry every time. But this comes at a price: which is - because I have heard it so many times, I have "got used" to hearing it. I don't get to re-experience the profound shock of hearing an operatic tenor for the first time. I have forgotten just what that was like. But I can get close to it by watching and listening to reactions from people like yourself when they are going through precisely that experience. I have now lost count of the listeners who are brave enough to try something new and who react exactly like you when hearing just that very first sung note. It's a complete revelation. And that too makes me cry with joy. As well as you.

essun Dorma is sung in triumph, with Luciano knowing that he has guessed the princesses riddle. Some 24 princes had tried before to win the princess, only to fail. The penalty for failure is death. Luciano comes, figures out the riddle, and this is the night before he is going to present the correct answer, and thus wins the hand of the beautiful princess. Incredible power and elation,

Crazy!!!!!!! It's been 15 years since Luciano is gone but his voice will remain with us for eternity. A voice that made him the greatest, most immense, immeasurable, good in nature and character gave an example of behavior and professionalism that had no equal. Great Luciano, those who don't know you call you Pavarotti but for us you are Luciano. The greatest voice. Thanks for existing.
