Welcome to the Swiss Stage of Worlds 2024! The best League of Legends teams from around the globe have arrived, and every team is ready to fight for their shot at lifting the Summoner’s Cup. The Swiss Stage kicks off with the absolute chaos of best-of-ones, where anything can happen!
The LCK, led by reigning champions T1, alongside GEN, HLE, and DK, are primed to be fierce contenders. While BLG, WBG, LNG, and TES are determined to dethrone Korea and make their mark in history. The LCS’s TL and FLY enter the Swiss Stage with something to prove, eager to show that North America can still compete with the best, despite losing a team in the Play-In stage.
GAM, PNG, and PSG are ready to defy expectations and pull off major upsets against the Major Region teams. And for the LEC, the stakes couldn’t be higher as they battle for glory on home soil. Only thing I would change is make worlds every 3 years to be more meaningful, bigger, with more teams. I doesn't matter if the quality of those other teams are trash, that happens in all mega events, like the Olympics or the world cup, is irrelevant. You tell me you cannot put 2 Indians team (with a billion people there?), some Africans teams??? More games to watch from the best players, and the best teams, is a win win situation.

Love that T1 didn't get that much screentime on this one and made other teams get the spotlight. As the theme for this year's worlds is Make Them Believe, T1 don't have to prove themselves anymore. But most of the other team has something to prove. GenG has to prove they can win at the highest Level of competition (Worlds, not discrediting their win at MSI) Whole of LPL going on a revenge arc for their loss to the LCK (GenG) at MSI. Caps and G2 retribution after their devastating defeat at 2019 Worlds Finals (3 wins away for the Golden Road) TL (NA) to prove that NA is still a region to be scared of (I know, they're gonna merge next year). Other teams from minor regions wanting to prove they can go deeper into the tournament this time, or maybe even winning it all. Now it's not all about T1, but as a T1 fan, hope I get to see them doing work @Worlds2024Finals!
