And to make that stat even more mind blowing: There is only 1 player who has 3 Worlds titles - SKTT1's JG - Bengi, who played with Faker. To add even MORE insanity to it: There is only 1 non-SKT/T1 player to have won Worlds 2 times - BeryL. (technically you can also say Duke as well but he didn't play for IG outside of 1 game during their Worlds win iirc). Not only is Faker the only player to win Worlds 4 times but he has now done it with 2 entirely different rosters. Absolutely monumental stuff.

As impressive as all the stats are, 24 seasons with one team (his whole career) might actually be the craziest. Think of how many great players changed teams at some point (Bjergsen, Rekles, Deft, Ruler, Chovy, Uzi, Rookie) for Faker to never leave T1 is truly a testament in itself.

Another insane stat which I'm almost surprised they didn't include in a way is: The only non-T1 player to win Worlds 2x times (aka the only player who didn't play with Faker) is BeryL. As dominant as different teams and players look in a single year, they always fall off the next year and just about never come back as a relevant top competitor. Faker however... he has managed to be a relevant top competitor even during his "slump" years after losing in 2017 Worlds. The only player to win Worlds 3 times was Bengi - SKT's JG who played with Faker. So Faker has 4 trophies and the closest non-T1 player is BeryL with 2 trophies and he's the only non-T1 player to have won twice. That stat alone is absolutely mind shattering.

This guy has won worlds in 2020, was ONE game away of winning it in 2021 (losing 2-3 to EDG in finals) and once again won worlds in 2022. If he did it in 2021, he would be the only one to win three consecutive worlds. Also he did it with two completely different teams which shows that his personal impact was insane, his champ pool is very diverse and unusual and his decision making for the whole team is amazing.

Faker is the player that got me into League in 2017. Watching him lose and seeing just how much it affected him made me instantly have a soft spot and love for him as a player. I've always been a fan of talented players in games who show emotion because it shows how much their wins and being the best means to them. Seeing him barely lose in Worlds 2022 made me cry and for a moment I thought Faker wouldn't get the chance again but he proved me wrong and I could not have been more happy for him. Getting to see the player who got me into League win Worlds again - 7 years later - truly felt like a full circle moment.

Esa sensación que daban de qué, incluso perdiendo podrían ganar, fue lo que me hizo ver las partidas en que jugaba SKT hasta el final del torneo. Not enough talk about his CHAMP POOL... its absolute NUTS how many champions he has mastered and pioneered - so many crazy ones which he introduced to the competitive scene over the years such as Master Yi/old Irelia/Olaf/Riven/AP Kaisa mid. Man has never stopped innovating. Even the "normal" mid champs he has mastered and cycled through as the meta changes - he was known for his Syndra in the early days, then debut with an insane Nidalee mid crushing the best mid at the time so hard that Ambition role swapped to JG, Zed of course, then became known for Ahri, Leblanc, TF, Ryze (with many different reworks), Galio, Orianna and nowadays Azir (which in the past he wasnt good enough such that T1 had to sub him out for Eazyhoon when they wanted to field it, but now he is THE Azir god imo surpassing even BDD who was the other big contender for best Azir) and there are still so many champs of his that I don't even have the space to talk about - Akali, Kassadin, Gragas, Sylas, Hwei, Lissandra, Corki... They forgot to mention one VERY IMPORTANT NUMBER - the interval between his first and last worlds win was TEN YEARS APART. This man won both the Old League and the New League. I simply cannot imagine anyone else winning Worlds AGAIN after a DECADE
