The thing is NA & EU teams are really good at pugging solo queue style plays in League, they react well tactically (competitive!), teamfight well (competitive!), and have great individual mechanics (competitive!) at their top end in each region. The problem is that's all they do well. SKT used just two data points (G1 & 2 early jungler pathing) to systematically dissect one of the best teams in the world in G3: using a long strategy that involved the commitment and planning of all 5 players, and took 18 minutes to actually pay off. Simply put, there is nobody - nobody (not even the other Koreans) - on SKT's level. TSM, CLG, H2K, FNC: none of these teams do anything remotely approaching this level of strategy, planning, and team-coordinated execution. Until they can, there will never be an NA or EU world champion - because no matter how good you are mechanically, you can't beat SKT until you can compete in all the dimensions that SKT plays. SKT makes moves in dimensions that NA & EU teams don't even realize exist yet.

I can't seem to find any comments recognizing Zirene's work here. Sure skt is great but gornndammit Zirene you just produced one of the or the best league analysis content in this video of all the stuff i have ever watched, trust me its a lot. This is even better than Blitz esports analysis i'm at awe and I already like a lot what you usually do. Dunno if you figured this out yourself or called your buddy Huni to find out but this is just,... i cant find words. NExt level.

This video totally opens up the true definition of strategy. When Blank and Untara plays, its all about team plays. And when Huni and Peanut plays, its all about carrying and producing solo kills. This breaks up the SKT strategy in 2; SKT in being AGGRESSIVE and in being PASSIVE. AGGRO, strategically fast and aggressive match to control the game in early pace and finish it with a lot of kills. PASSIVE, strategically slow, less kills, BUT a lot of information on the opposing teams movement. Thank you SKT for being such a big role for the amateur players and even the PROs to learn a lot from you. Its not about to put up a flare in every game by showing outplays and so on, but to showcase strategies in a most critical ways to win in such a finesse. From the PH Server, Jayson Racelis. ❤ Loveyou SKT.

It is hard to disrespect this kind of thinking and strategizing. You can get mad but it will do you no good. long as kt's mentality aren't as stable yet, they will forever be exploited. i say it's all planned, when u see them all smiling when kkoma enters the booth at the start of game 3, u know something's up :) 1st 2 games r for scouting reports, n so they purposely picked sub-optimal picks just to see how well can kt deal with it n it proves that they r certainly still up to par. game 3 onwards is where the show begins, starting off with winning game 3, it makes kt realizes that they r still in the lead, made them more eager to win, hungry for the victory n in return those things will cloud their minds, eventually, while skt constantly draft stronger n stronger comps until they realize, it's all too late to even try to do anything about it, n that is when they know they hv already lost the BO5 right after they start to feel even a slighter bit of complacent after winning those 1st 2 games. it's all about the mind games, whoever handles emotions better, whoever wins. n in this case, kt will never stand a chance, at least not with them having pawn n deft in the roster :)

Aqua033 it's one of the reasons why orianna shockwave does so much dmg in teamfights catching multiple champions.

To be fair, the AOE effect is really small.

yeh it is pretty small, but it works perfectly with ori ult. Because it procs as the champion that got hit by the shockwave to the middle of the ball, and that means anyone hit by the shockwave is also at the middle of the ball, making thunderlords just that much more effective.

I m super glad you did this now when I face a SHACO and explain to friends how i m getting bullied and they should pink and to stop him. I can say look he is doing this. Because even though i m unranked/bronze(and not going into ranked anymore) I m still a master level cs major so I can see this but I fail to explain it in the 5(give or take) minutes before and after a game.
