This practice round is really nice to get an overview about all cases and their importance on how often they may get used and how the endings are different from case to case. This overview takes so much pressure away from me. Every educational book or YT channel starts with the cases one after another and this can really be discouraging as you don’t get the whole picture. I did not find a video like this yet where all cases are mentioned combined. So cool! Thank you ❤

This was a very useful video for me. Cases are difficult to remember, these kind of excercises really help.

Thank you for making a video during such turbulent times for your країна. I still think I'm totally lost on cases, I need to go back and watch your first videos on this matter.

Дякую Олю! Your lessons are so good for learning the basics, but also broaden our knowledge of Ukrainian. It's very important in this time. One question: at 27:00 and 28:00, aren't тижні and роки nominate/accusative (you said genitive)? If yes, which one? And how would it look with a preposition that requires, let's say, locative? Are тиждень and рік still in nom/acc or also in locative?
@LetsLearnUkrainian2 жыл бұрын
Yes! That's correct - my bad. Два, три, чотири require the plural nominative and not genitive. It's 5 and more that require genitive. Thank you for paying attention!

Fantastic video, thanks! Shouldn't the genitive of цукор be цукра rather than цукру? (I thought the у ending for masc. nouns only apply when it's a state of mind, natural phenomena, location and some other stuff that don't include "sugar"?)
@LetsLearnUkrainian2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! Yes, sugar also is included, the names of substances and materials also have ending -у/-ю: борщу, кисню, льоду, меду, водню, цукру, etc.

Didn’t count my correct answers - I did fairly well, but I made plenty of mistakes. Mostly because I always forget those instances where instrumental is used unexpectedly. They often catch me out!
@LetsLearnUkrainian2 жыл бұрын
I totally get why! Instrumental might get tricky sometimes 😊🤓 I shall make more videos on cases - practice makes perfect! 👌👌👌

@@LetsLearnUkrainian It’s only confusing in the sense that it’s frequently used in Ukrainian, in instances where I wouldn’t think! I think too much in English - that’s my problem! I though this was a great video, and good practice for my Ukrainian phrasing!
