I just wanted to also add that your preface where you laid out the three basic 'moods' was SUPER clarifying. I think sometimes laying out a broader view really helps you get a better intuition on things as we go forward on this journey. Again, thank you for making this video :)

This practice round is really nice to get an overview about all cases and their importance on how often they may get used and how the endings are different from case to case. This overview takes so much pressure away from me. Every educational book or YT channel starts with the cases one after another and this can really be discouraging as you don’t get the whole picture. I did not find a video like this yet where all cases are mentioned combined. So cool! Thank you ❤

Thank you for this video, I've been noticing Ukrainian conditionals for a while, just observing the constructions in the hope they'll become natural (it kind of works to an point), so your explanation comes at the perfect time. It would be good to know if the different options you gave us are more commonly used with certain words than others, and also if this type of construction is used equally with perfective and imperfective verbs (another thing I am slowly getting my head around). It's so nice to see you back on KZbin - I have no other social media, and can't handle notifications so I always turn them off... I was literally on the community page of your channel the other day, wondering if you're ok! 🤗💙💛

Thank you for watching and also for checking on me 😊 these constructions you can use interchangeably, I'd say, they carry very similar meaning. And yes, the rules work for both - perfective and imperfective verb aspects. Якби ти читала менше, то не мала б проблем із зором. Якби я прочитала цю книгу, я б тобі її повернула.

Find someone to have a conversation with. Pick a song that you want to sing and learn It. People need a motivation to learn (usually), find your motivation and then look for a set of study material that supports that. Another KZbinr has a textbook. I’ve been meaning to get it. Mastering Ukrainian Cases. Olya has very well organized videos. You should watch more 😅

Thank you so much for this video and all the efforts you put into this channel, but I have question. In your previous video about endings in the Dative case, you said that if a plural ends in 'и' the ending in the dative is -ам. Yet I insinctively felt it should be дати дитям and not дати дитам. Is this an exceptoin or some other more detailed rule?

This is ridiculous. 100 Ukrainian phrases and you don't use the Latin alphabet. Like many people I would like to learn a few phrases to be polite but I certainly am not learning a new alphabet just to say "Thank you" or "good morning" to someone.

Дякую Олю за цей урок. Iʼm planning to visit my paternal grandparents’ ancestor’s home village of Peremyshlyany (Перемишляни) in what was once Galicia at least once within the next 14 months. Learning to discuss time and date is very important and this lesson explains a lot. Are there regional or dialect differences in how time and date are discussed? Also, my paternal gm’s ancestors might have moved to Galicia from Transcarpsthia, where I understand a different dialect is often used. Any lessons on regional dialects would be appreciated.

Дякую, що подивилися ☺️ I’d been living in the western Ukraine for a while. I’d say they’re more likely to use phrases like «десять по шостій», «за десять восьма» etc. there. Elderly people, especially in the villages could pronounce the numbers a bit differently: сема (сьома), шеста (шоста) but thats not very major 😊
