Cool! It's great to see sponsorship coming to your channel! The low frequency sound picked from the aircraft just sounds cinematic. And the waterfall sound is nothing I'd have imagined!

A way to attach the Geofon is the use a magnet on the other side of the non-magnetic material to sandwich the material between the Geofon and the other magnet

you are definitely right about Geofon being sold out :) I had to sign up for their mailing list and then buy it exactly at 4:01pm to get one. definitely sounds amazing as a bass/support mic like you point out. Hi. Advice needed: can you convert the sounds obtained via Geofon into the precise/full spectrum frequency (hertz scale, regardless of whether it falls under 20hz/20000hz range, or not)? If yes, can you please briefly explain the procedure and highlight the possible use of additional equipment (which one)? Thank you. Nebojsa

Hi, love your videos! But I just had one question; you often talk about some of your recordings sounding "noisy" and say you can easily fix it in post. But what does that mean? What is the exact process used to remove the noise?
@FreeToUseSounds4 жыл бұрын
Hi! For example using noise remover. Low cut or high cut filters are basic processing tools.

A little late to the party with this video Marcel, but I have come from your most recent video talking about your Creative Micro Audio Recording Kit (Aug 2022) I just wanted to ask about the moment at around 3:40 where you said you couldn't record the aluminium with the LOM Geofón because it was 'too loud' - were you referring to the overall levels being too loud creating the distortion, or was there too much interference in the low/high frequencies to capture clean sound? I wonder if you could still capture clean enough sound using the Zoom H6 on 32-bit float, or get around that clipping distortion? 🤔
@FreeToUseSounds2 жыл бұрын
Hi Neth! So sorry but I just saw your comment. You mean the Zoom F6? The H6 has no 32 bit float. I'm mean the sounds are just to intense to record with Geofon.

I finally got my Geofón and did some first recordings with it today :) Had to rewatch this video again. I didn't think about switching off the phantom power before recording. Do you think it is necessary to switch it off? Because with the hydrophone it works. I set up the gains very high to capture the low frequencies but it wasn't without noise. Is it possible to remove that in post-production?
@FreeToUseSounds Жыл бұрын
Hi! Ohh yes many hydrophones need pp in order to work but don't use it for the Geofon. Its not needed and you could damage it. Please don't because these are so hard to get. :)
