Before you made these panniers, I was standing in your shop in Glasgow and had a chance to request your father to develop panniers. My first set of Lomo panniers went all over UK and Europe, now waiting for me in Japan. I am using the second set for UK and Europe trips.

Glad that you've got these back in stock! I shall be using the pair I've just bought for camping later this year 😊

I'm so glad that Lomo has made this at last. I've been waiting for this for years as I know Lomo would make excellent panniers with great price. I've already bought a German one, but I'm going to buy another one from Lomo.

Brilliant large and waterproof, very versatile panniers, I have 35 litre hard panniers but prefer using these on my adventure bike. I seem to fit more in them than hard luggage ideal for camping tour's, add a 40 litre dry bag on the rear and you've got more than enough room for a good camping tour.

Going to order a set and if they are as good as my other Lomo bags and I can't see a reason why they won't be from this company I will be impressed.

Nice carrying capacity - what's the max recommended weight that can be carried in each pannier?
@roytoal99474 жыл бұрын
These might be perfect , if only they had a way of putting a tube in between the panniers to stop inward movement , in order to do away with the need for pannier racks. A simple sleeve to insert a 'U' shaped 25mm tube, to stop inward movement 👍

It's a great idea, I will pass it on to the design team.

@@LomoWatersport I have a set of Tour- master (soft panniers) about 30 years old, and they have neoprene?, between the bag and the bike, to protect the paint.
@MrAlgar20003 жыл бұрын
I recently bought a set of these for my Africa Twin. To be honest, it was a compromise as I couldn't afford the solid boxes. However I am over the moon with them. They are a good size, fully waterproof, and fairly tough. They were a tenth of the cost of solid panniers, and so are superb value for money. It's the first time I've had soft panniers on a bike in over 30 years of riding. And although I had reservations, I am very happy and I totally recommend these for any level of rider from the entry level to the serious hardcore seasoned bikers. But,,,, as Henry Ford once said "available in any colour as long as its black". Any chance of getting some variation??

Thanks for the feedback much appreciated . Will put the colour suggestions forward. Cheers Lomo

I wonder if they would fit my FZS1000 Fazer without a pannier rack. I have some cheap 56 liter Chinese bags and they work good without any rack, but they are not waterproof like Lomo
@haydnkeith16585 жыл бұрын
they look great. do you think they could be mounted to my sprint without a racking system?
@LomoWatersport5 жыл бұрын
Hi There, Most people find they need a pannier rack on their bike to fit these safely.

Only available in black :-( I would like to see more attention to preventing the whole package sliding forwards under brakeng
@LomoWatersport5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, so far we've only had demand for them in black colour. We're always interested to know what people would like though so let us know what colour you'd ideally like and we add that to the other customer feedback we receive. So far though, no one else has asked for a different colour. We've found it difficult to predict how the bags will sit on every bike/rack combination so you might have to improvise with other , separately bought straps , to get the ideal method of securing the bags to you particular bike.

@@LomoWatersport It's just a question of being visible. People wear more Hi vis on bikes now but the bike itself is camouflage. Well your yellow would do that as would your orange both are functional. I have a red bike so that would work too. Any of those, but if I have to choose just one. Yellow. Hi vis yellow clashes with everything. its very purposeful.

Does it burn on exhausts ?
@LomoWatersport Жыл бұрын
Hi There, All soft luggage that we are aware of , from every manufacturer that we are aware of, will burn/melt if it is too close to a hot exhaust. There's an element of common sense involved here and you'll need to use some judgement in the placement of the bags depending on your exhaust setup. You can see from the numerous user reviews of the product that it's not a problem for the vast majority of users. Cheers, Mark.

Very interested in buying a set for my bike . I'd like to know how far apart they can be placed? I'd need them to be 60cm apart for them to sit right over my racks, are the velcro straps long enough to allow this ? Thanks.
@LomoWatersport4 жыл бұрын
At 60cm apart 50% of the velcro still overlaps so it still works in that respect. Obviously less overlap = less resistance to the velcro pulling apart so bear that in mind and make sure the routing of the straps through the rack/seat isnt at an angles or position that encourages the velcro to peel off. Also make sure the bags are secured to the racks using the other attachment points as well so that it's not just the velcro top straps carrying the load.
