You do come up with some ingenious problem solving Craig 😀 Looks good, and probably easier to get on and off the bike without the big box panniers.

Well thought out resolution to the issue; I would have given up and walk the panniers through after the bike and then attach them to the bike.Big panniers on tour are handy in keeping the weight low, freeing up space and weight being carried high (and on the edge of the subframe) in the topbox. Ride safe buddy.

The exhaust might be an issue after a days ride, I've seen Lomo bags melt from the bottom. Granted it was a larger bag on a cb500x but the heat was an issue.

Hi there! That is something that I am also worried about as I have been considering the Lomo panniers for my Tenere World Raid but I fear that the exhaust might be a problem.

I would be concerned that The Ubend bar pointing forwards if you fell off that could cause some potential serious damage to your leg. The round bars are a good job 👍🏼

Craig, why don't you lay some cushion floor (old fashioned lino) over those pebble dashed wall surfaces? It would add no width but protect your mirrors

Bloddy hell mate that is tight access. I'm going through the same process with the Lomo 30ltr panniers atm trying to find a way of fixing them on the 500x without buying a big rack.

Hi…do you think the larger bags you currently have on the rear would be ok to use on the front crash bars….instead of the crash bar bags ?

I hope the back of the bar doesn't take your indicators off when the suspension comes into play 😮 Actually now looking closer the whole back will lower, I spoke too soon haha 😅 I'm gonna have the same problem with my 40ltr Lomo top bag as I don't have any fixing points 🙃.

Nice one I think I would just carry the panniers through lol, Is that your garage if it is can you not just cut a wider than normal door through the back wall and drive straight through, I know its not as easy as I have described but surely it will pay for itself with no worries or scratches on the bike.

Why couldn't just unload the hard panniers and put them back on once you get on the road>
@Motourev
@Motourev Жыл бұрын
Exactly that reason, couldn’t be arsed plus I wanted luggage on the bike I could leave on permanently incase whilst out the wife ever phoned and said get some milk etc. hard luggage was too big and a everyday item I could never see me using daily.
