This is another excellent video from *theoldcameraguy.* The whole thing worked really well: we got good pictures, good film, good colours, and good commentary.

Great shots man, small town America is the best place to shoot film. Ironically I had 4rolls of 800 last year and sent 3 to other KZbinrs to collaborate to do a review and none of the three got back with me with their images to share. Let's just say I'm not doing that again but I had great results also. Couldn't make out what the donor stock is but yes the grain is fine for an 800.
@theoldcameraguy4 жыл бұрын
Thanks - I can’t believe you got ghosted on those 800 rolls. I would never do you like that man haha. No joke, this Lomo 800 is legit.

I really love these videos Dave. Thanks for producing them. I've been waiting for ages for it to come back in stock in the UK, and the second it did, I grabbed 2 three packs. I don't shoot a lot of colour outside of Autumn, but Lomo800 has so much flexibility with that high ISO. Last year I shot it next to Portra 800 and much preferred the look from the Lomo film. I don't care where it comes from if it gives me a look I love. Glad you enjoyed it too! Cracking sample images.

Thanks Ian - I’m glad you appreciate the videos. I only got one three pack, but I really do like this stock (should have grabbed 2 packs like you). I agree about the flexibility - it was nice shooting one stock from day to night.

Nice! The carton photo didn’t show, I assume the film is daylight? Also, how was the negative density at 800? Kodak negatives were always thin to me. I shot Vericolor 3 (160 ASA) at 100 or even 80 to get proper negative density.

Quite a vibrant film without being garish like Sony digital cameras. As for concentrating on the images with one camera, you do great with many cameras too! Cool advice too... A.,

Really enjoyed the video! If I had to choose one stock to cover all of my needs, Lomo 800 would definitely be a contender: I shot it between 100 and 3200 with useable results. And skin tones are great!
