This female leopard looks amazing for her age. It seems only her face shows a bit of age. Incredible! Hope she still has a few more years.

She is an absolutely stunning leopardess. I wasn't able to see the condition of her teeth in detail, but the quick look was positive. She wears her age well.

Hi LGR. That clip was so good to see the elusive Mashaba female for the first time in a good few weeks. Being the very oldest leopard that you see and view there, she's like a elderly member of your family that you just hope and pray will live on for another two or so years, before her time is up. Isn't she? I know she's a very special and much loved female to so many people who have followed her life from scratch. Although she's sixteen years and two months old now, do you all think there's still a good high chance of her falling very heavily pregnant with her last ever litter of cubs before she becomes infertile completely? I, like you, do hope that she'll live on for a further couple of years or so, which will give her enough time to raise at least one or two more cubs to hard independence age. And if she is successful, it'll give you at least another two young leopards to view, and that will also hopefully stay and set up their own territories on your property so very successfully. It will be just an absolute miracle if she provides at least another two years of some occasional viewing by popping up on the odd occasion just to show you how fit, well, and healthy she actually is. But as she looks so well for a sixteen year old leopard, she clearly doesn't show her advanced age at all what so ever. How old do you think she looks, as she is still in such great condition and health? I think it is fair to say she has the good appearance of a leopard about maybe ten years old, as she just looks the absolute picture of health and contentment. It'll be so nice to her some credit for doing and looking so well for a cat of her advanced age. Despite her old age, but also due to how long you've known her for there, I hope she'll fall pregnant with her last ever and final litter of cubs in a couple of months time successfully. I think we could refer to her as the queen of Londolozi, as she is the oldest leopard you still have the pleasure of watching as she turns up occasionally. What do you think? Although no one is allowed to touch her, it must feel very tempting to do it so gently that she won't even feel it at all. I would like to think she'll you, at best, two more years of the insight into her elderly and interestingly long lifetime and to see and watch her just hunt or even wonder about quietly. She is clearly still capable of hunting for herself at best when it is completely dark and invisible to the naked eye. At least the prey won't be able to see her coming or even hear her. So it will be to her advantage to hunt in total darkness, knowing that the prey won't know she's onto them. It was so nice and lovely to see her just relax and snooze quietly in the shade of a leafless Bush, with nothing to concern her or get her interest. Even if we can't read her mind, I wonder if she just enjoys the peace and quiet to much to herself, and also reflects back on her long and eventful lifetime. I know she has raised 2 beautiful and well-known girls, the Nkoveni and Ximungwe females, born in separate litters, to successful independence, but I'd love to know how many other cubs she's raised to that important stage in their lives, that I don't even know of. I'm sure she would have raised more than just those 2 pretty females to independence. If you could tell me who they are and what you know all about them, then I'd be interested to know and read about them. When the next time you see her arrives, just refer to her as the Queen of Londolozi. That'll be a good nickname for her. Hope to hear from you shortly. Robert 3.11.24

Of course it’s the incomparable Mashaba, the Queen. I had last heard that she had been seen mating with the Nweti whilst at your southern neighbors. I hope she continues to do well for the next couple of years….

hi mate, just a thought; when we humans retire, we relocate to a less happening & calm spots where we feel secure and are given care (retirement villages/housing). Similarly, for such gorgeous ageing cats that make it this far in life albeit rare, why not relocate her to a 100% protected sanctuary where she is not threatened by other younger cats or face any challenges or any fierce competition (as we age we slow down in life right)? After overcoming so many harsh & brutal life challenges out in the wild she defo deserves a 100% protected spot in a sanctuary such as GG Conservation or similar where they have large spaces to roam freely at the same time are fully monitored and protected. She defo deserves to live a serene & peaceful life for the remainder of her lifespan.

Calling all animal lovers! Cody Roberts of Daniel, Wyoming has yet to be punished for his horrific abuse towards a wolf cub known as Thea. We must not allow him, nor any other torturer of animals get away with only a slap on the wrist. If any of you care, please fight that real justice be met! Keep this story alive, ask for better animal protection laws, continue to protest until he is given server jail time for his awful crimes. Don’t let Thea die in vain! Demand that her murderer is brought to justice. That’s what it means to be a Wildlife Warrior! #JusticeForWolves

@@SusanStar-c8w That's why I'm sharing this story however I can. To keep that young wolf's horrible story alive so that it will never happen again. I know there have been petitions formed to make animal cruelty illegal in Wyoming. For now, speaking out against this injustice and sharing this story however we can is the best thing we can do to ensure Cody Roberts is labeled as a monster. Then he'll wish he were thrown in jail.

There was a Tsalala female found dead in November 2021 at Singita in Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Her death likely caused by other lions, though the altercation was not witnessed. Is/was there another female known as Tsalala?
