He looks great to me. I’d rather see people with glasses as opposed to struggling to see. Not everyone can wear contacts. I’m liking the beards. Some of the beards look better than non-military beards

TBH I don’t have a issue with the guards having a beard as long as it’s trimmed and tidy and they can forefill their duties … I still think these are the most beautiful horses in the British army … absolutely stunning beasts ..🫶🏻

I've never seen these guards before....are they an upper elite guard? I've never seen that helmet (?) ever before. And I've been watching anything with Queen Elizabeth ll for five decades! Is this part of the Scottish guard perhaps? Thank you for any information you can give.

But in the 19th century they didn't need to wear a gas masks as gas attacks were not used until World War One. Gas masks do not make a proper seal if not worn direct to skin. For the same reason you don't often see fire fighters with beards as there is not a good seal for breathing apparatus.

They do not guard Buckingham Palace, nor Clarence House where the King actually lives but Horseguards in Whitehall. One of the farms on the Windsor Estate was broken into and a pick- up truck and Quad were stolen No-one entered the castle itself or Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Great Park where William and Catherine live.
