Another nice ride, but I have a question. I see buses labeled "Arriva" or "Stagecoach" or "Go Ahead." Private operators contracted under the umbrella of the London red buses? Do they each have their own routes?

Don - the routes are put out to tender every 5 or 7 years. More often than not, the routes stay with the existing bus company. However, it is a dog eat dog system, which I am sure pleases TfL.

Another relaxing bus ride, thanks Graham. Have you done a video on the 101 route ? In my day it was Wanstead to Woolwich Ferry mind you that was many moons ago. 🇨🇦

Ron - I have not yet done this route - it now runs from Wanstead to Gallions Reach Shopping Park instead of North Woolwich. - "On 17 December 2005, the route was withdrawn between Cyprus and North Woolwich and was diverted to Gallions Reach instead."

If you want to travel for free then any bus that operates out of Catford Bus Garage is definitely for you. If you don't have any ticket or pass then don't worry the driver will just wave you past. If your a close friend or relative of the bus driver you can ride for nothing and don't even need a pass or ticket. What a shameful way to run a bus company
