London by Night in an MGB GT

London is a great city and very photographic in the evening light. The MG looked great in your stills. I did something similar aa out 15 years ago in my Triumph Stag only still shots. Thanks for an interesting view of London. Cheers Bob

That was a very neat tour of London. I only spent one day and night in London about 25 years ago. We stayed near Knights Crossing. We were able to see quite a bit in one day, but by nighttime we were falling asleep at dinner, having been up about 36 hours trying to shift from Chicago time. That was a treat. Good work.

@@granblogismo I wouldn't mind another one, sold my old mk2 about 20 years ago now, it's the car I wish I had hung on to! Used to take it to car shows etc and there was always lots of friendly rivalry between the Triumph and MG crowd 🤣

Always hard to get the music right, what with copyright and some people disliking whatever you use but I think it went great with this video! Great work! You may have covered this before but couldn't find anything on it, what camera do you use to film at night with?

Thanks! Yes music always a bit contentious but worth experimenting I think to see what works! The camera I use for most of my videos (day and night) is a DJI Osmo Action (similar to a GoPro) and I’m pleased with what it can do! Other times I just use my phone for convenience or for photos like in this vid, sometimes I use an older GoPro for when I’m filming a second angle whilst driving but that’s showing it’s age a bit, likely to get a new GoPro at some point just because they are so versatile (much like the Osmo action), hope that helps! @@granblogismo yea thanks for the responce! I have two gopro 7s to get a different angle I have just found they are no good in poor light let alone the dark 😩🤷‍♂️ Keep up the great work!👍

Oh right! Good to know about the GoPro in low light, I just assumed it would be similar to the Osmo Action.... I suppose the bits of London I drove through were fairly well lit for the most part but still night-time obviously

Nice! I've not ventured into London in my 73 B roadster yet, but I might now, having seen this! (I live just inside the south section of the M25, so not difficult for me.) By the way, are those 15" minilites? They look more impressive than my 14" ones, but that might just be because they're shinier! :D

It’s a tricky one getting the audio right for this kind of drive. I’ve done many videos where I’ve focused on the sound of the car and it works when you’re on a run and foot down and cut different angles regularly to keep people engaged but when you’re in stop start traffic the sound is actually very uninspiring at a crawl.... but then again the music is always divisive due to taste and the limited choice in the free to use audio library 🤣 Thanks for the feedback, I always like to try new stuff and see what works so I’ll consider doing a more raw version of this another time, ideally a clone of Claude Lelouch’s ‘C’était un rendez-vous’ !!
