Thank you for this. Took me right back to 2006/07 when I lived in the greatest city in the world... I could almost smell the pleather boots in Primark and taste the fruit and nut Holland & Barrett chocolate health bar 😍 It gave me momentary escape from the anxiety and depression this year has brought with it🙏🏽🤍

Lived in London from birth and this place looks absolutely drab. Oxford Street has lost it's sparkle and panache, even before lockdown. I hope that when this pandemic is over that they can turnaround Oxford Street and make it a must place to visit and I'm 64 so I have seen the changes over the years.

Yes they were planning to make in pedestrian zone only, but it failed. Now even with the Christmas lights on it still looks some how unfinished and empty, probably because most of the shops won't have a decoration this year.

Yes it was really busy! Most probably yes everyone is suspecting that this lockdown might last beyond Christmas, so people are shopping now. Yes bars and restaurants will close to serve people, but will be allowed to offer takeaway only.
