Christmas in Trafalgar Square comes from the same team behind Leicester Square’s lovely Christmas market, so you know it’s nothing short of magical! Over 20 stalls are available to browse, and you can choose from beautiful hand-crafted goods such as candle holders, Christmas ornaments, jewellery, and so much more.
Warm up with festive grub, from mini pancakes and chocolate fountains to bratwursts and cheesy chips, or head over to the big bar in the centre for mulled wines, ciders and hot chocolates.
On top of all that, you get stunning views of The National Gallery, Nelson’s Column, and the famous Trafalgar Square fountains. Not to mention the giant, glowing tree in the centre: Though the poor thing has faced much criticism in the past (it has been commonly referred to as the ‘world’s tallest cucumber’), this historic festive landmark-donated by the lovely people of Norway every year since 1947 as thanks for helping out in World War 2-is lighting up the square again this winter, much to the amusement of onlookers.
