Honestly, sports fans in Europe sing and chant constantly at every match big or small - doesn't matter if it's NFL, football, rugby, cricket, etc. And tbh Sweet Caroline is the only US song or chant that is good enough, fun enough and inventive enough to be sung this side of the pond. You're gonna really struggle to get 'U-S-A', 'D-fence', etc going. This felt a bit rude though....Clearly the refs and the players should've waited thill they finished the chorus ;)
