On our second day in London we walked all over the city, with Rick Steve's in our ears, giving us the overview and some fun details about the history of this great city. My favorite part of the whole day was seeing the tiny streets and we didn't video that part! That must mean we have to go back soon so I see it again and capture the moment. We learned that because of the coronation, this day was a bank holiday, that's why the crowds were so low and the church's closed.

Wow the architecture there is just amazing. Especially the royal court of justice building. I also saw a red phone booth in this video. I was wondering if they got rid of them like they did with pay phones in the US. I really like how they honored Americans for helping in ww2. Looks like you two are having an awesome trip filled with so much history. 👍

They have left those empty phone booths all over the place for the tourists to take pictures of. It's funny. Just wait until we get to the video of the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace (I'm so far behind!) That's when we learned just how far they will go to support tourism.

@@callatimeout6077 , never go in a phone box as some drunks use them as a toilet 😮 Well done on using the tours , like you found out if you do it yourself you will miss lots of hidden things like alleyways that lead to hidden shops and pubs etc , even Mayfair / Covent Garden has some . Well done on saying that the Tower of London can take 5 hrs ( some people even try to do the tour in the afternoon 😂😂 ) .

Thank you for the clarification on the pronunciation. I was reading the information out of a book and just going off standard phonics. Thank you for visiting our very small corner of KZbin.

You didn’t mention that the Globe Replica building was pushed by, fundraiser for & organized by an American actor & director, Sam Wanamaker. His daughter Zoe is also an actor in the UK.

Do you recommend the City Pass? Did you do things that you might have skipped since you had it? Also, do you recommend using Rick Steves for all of the days/areas, or did you have some that were particularly good or not so good? Thanks for sharing your trip!

I highly recommend the City Pass. I built my schedule from Rick and then used everything I could from the pass. It let's you skip so many lines and the added tours were fantastic. We love Rick's app. We used every tour he had and then I did buy the book and I read from the book out loud as we went on other tours that didn't have the audio available. Rick is smart with his tours. He's guided us all over Europe!

That is a statue I would love to see. There is so much more of England we need to adventure too.
