Good video. I was born and lived in Plaistow between 1964 and 1979 and have travelled back many times since over the years to watch West Ham, as a season ticket holder. This brought back lots of memories but still a shame to see so many familiar shops, cinemas and pubs now closed.

Sorry but this looks really ugly. So many grey, mud-brown, black buildings, all mass-produced just lined up in rows along the street. Do British people find this depressing?

Haha yeah we do. It is 100% depressing. I love London but I most certainly need a holiday atleast 2-4 times a year outside of the U.K. or else I’ll go mad. Just to let you know east london was badly destroyed by the world war. A lot of people suffered from poverty. It became a very rough place. It’s getting better now but it’s kind of known for its urban/rough area (not all of east).
