Thanks for the voiceover. Worthwhile for the extra info for someone not from the UK like me. Cheers, Kev.

Just started watching your videos. This on was a surprise as I was expecting the usual video of a Model Railway Exhibition with just the video and location sound. It was a nice treat to have your narration over the top of the video and location sounds, it was perfect and made the video way more interesting. Thanks so much for your efforts, Cheers from Norther n California.

Thanks, i started narrating because my boy would talk over the footage and so I had to find a way to cover it up, it seemed to go down really well so I’ve carried on with the format ever since.

I like the weathering and other details. no sounds. it's nice to see them run smoothly and almost silent. just the clickity clack of the track joints. A lot of love went into this for sure.

Such a fantastic event, so great that these shows are back up and running again. My favourite layout and reason for visiting the show is Deadman’s Lane as it provided a great deal of inspiration for my layout. Thanks for sharing some great footage 👍

Possibly THE best video of Oak Road I’ve seen and thanks for making what were making annoying issues (150 getting stuck and the wrong colour disco taillights on the 800) light hearted. 👍

Thanks for the kind praise, I’m glad you really enjoyed the video. Oak road is certainly one of my favourite exhibition layouts and certainly a favourite of my boy, he didn’t want to leave.

ive said it before, but what pips you to the podium for watching layout videos is the narration! it keeps me engaged! I know thats not some people's cup of tea but I like it!
@WesternSignalman2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Sam, it takes some effort and my lack of knowledge on foreign engines makes it more difficult to narrate those layouts but the narration certainly seems to get good feedback.

At 3:48 the supposed livestock train is mixing passenger vehicles with freight wagons!!! Horse Boxes are not freight vehicles, which is why those vehicles are painted in passenger liveries ! So unless this is a train of scrap vehicles going to the scrap yard, it's highly unlikely these vehicles would ever have been seen mixed together ! Modern modellers seem to be increasingly oblivious to the complex rules of real railways.............!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve seen photos of cattle vans at the front of passenger trains, they are vacuum braked vehicles so such a combo might have happened. If you look at the cattle van section on steve-banks.org there is a photo of a parcels passing through Huntington with a string of cattle vans at the front. So something like that could have happened but if not it’s rule one I guess. Thanks for watching.
