Taboo Room Interviews ex-London Gangster who was convicted of modern day slavery and running county lines. Glodi has spent nearly more years in maximum security prisons and youth offenders than he has on the roads. It all started when Glodi arrived from Congo, his life quickly spiralled out of control.
This is the most powerful story I have heard since starting this project.
Glodi is hoping to inspire and prevent others from making the same mistakes as he once did by sharing his story.

@@jaynepaige5702throwing out a 13 year old for smoking some weed is literally insane. What do you expect that child to do? There is no legal way for them to make money and support themselves. They can't just go get a job. There is only so many times their friends parents will let them sleepover.. so then what? If you dont have anyone else that will take you in.. an urban setting like that, you have few options. You can steal food to survive.. but then where do you sleep? You need money. So you can steal and sell things. You can sell yourself. Or you can sell drugs. The options are pretty limited. He also was from a foreign country, and probably didn't know about things like child welfare offices or social services. His parents throwing him out really just set him up to go down an even worse path. If they would have sat down with him, had an honest conversation about drugs and the consequences, what could happen, and disciplined him in a responsible way, his whole life could have been different. I don't blame any child for what they had to do to survive on the grimy ass streets of London, alone at 13 years old.

People who grow up in different environments often don't understand how difficult it is to grow up in an area where drugs and crime are at the forefront of everything. You can't even go to school without the mention of drugs. Teenagers especially are deeply influenced by the older people around them. They don't realise the seriousness of the situations they are involved in and often only find out when it's too late.

They were absolutely wrong for kicking him out they clearly thought he will just come home and be remorseful hence they kept going to the police when they realised that wasn’t the case and the police didn’t do their job regarding him being a 13year old child who tells a child if you tell us you are ok we will leave you alone that sounds crazy but the system is built against him even without the predicament he found himself. Thankyou for sharing your story with us Glodi. It's just so sad to think that most of your life has been spent in jail. By the sounds of things and I can only go by the information you've shared with us, there's alot of factors that I don't believe the police ever took into consideration. It's crazy to think that in so many cases police are just trying to get good media coverage, make arrest, get promotions etc instead of actually doing their jobs the legit and moral way. I really do hope that you're able to heal from all that you've been through, change your life for the better but this time with the support that you desearve and could have potentially saved you from going back to what you were doing when you were younger. You desearve to live the rest of your life as a free man, who is genuinely happy, supported, loved and I hope you find good people who want the best for you, genuinely care about your mental health and well-being. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I think in theory only some drug dealers would do well making a living legally and the others just won't make it. I've seen comments like this on a few occasions and apart from Glodi's account, we hear about drug dealers making it rain with all their financial gains and then changing their lives. If all we ever heard were stories such as Glodi's would you and others think they'd have good business acumen, if they went legit? Just a thought.

@@PuffPuff279 That's a reasonable point.. It does depends on the person for sure, but I just feel Goldi could go far. I personally admire the way he carries himself & see something special in him that's all.
