That's totally cool that LG may employ management to post here at g+ .. but so many band members do run their own stuff these days .. ***** often pops up as does ***** ..

My mother passed away and took her last breath. I was by her bed with my siblings, I was strong and hid my sorrow. I kissed my mum goodbye. Then drove home still numb and that’s when this song started playing on the radio. My emotions came to surface, I pulled over and broke down and cried. I will never forget that time. I miss my mum and this song reminds me of her. 😢🌟❤️

this song is the feeling of waking up from an afternoon sleep, right after you open your eyes, when for a moment you have no idea about your problems or worries and just see the light coming through the window and say to yourself "wow, that's beautiful". (and i'm grateful to have this song because frankly i rarely have time for the afternoon sleep part) but before i get any more self-indulgently poetic: i wanted to share a song called "a sign" by seaside, because it reminded me of this, and because it deserves more views. it has the same kind of relentlessly hopeful vibe as this song or hey now - listen to it and then spread the word :)

I fist found this song/video when my daughter was due to be born in a few months. For me, it was a song about parenthood and burning as bright as you can as a teacher, parent and protector for the benefit of your child. And in turn they will be able to watch, learn, and be amazed so when your own flame begins to dim, they’ll be there to tuck you in at night.

The relationship between a daughter and her father. And how even through adversity and what could be considered an ordinary job, he still manages to provide for her and she sees her hero and how STRONG he is for them. I just want to pick up my girls and give them the biggest hug. @London Grammar - Loved this song when it first released in its beauty, the vocals, the music, the harmony. Loved it every day since. THANKYOU

what a song .... one of my most favorite songs i've ever heard, that voice, so fragile ... love love love !!!!
@nyxato76498 жыл бұрын
+stephanie deceuniginne Her voice sounds like the opposite of fragile... Not saying it's bad, simply that "fragile" isn't the word I'd use. I'd use "smooth" or "tuned".
@Retroscoop8 жыл бұрын
+Nyxato I would use "smooth" for Sade or Judie Tzuke, "tuned' too sounds odd. I thing "fragile" here is not meant in the sense of "weak'' of course that isn't the case, but the atmosphere has something "gently depressive", hence fragile.
@nyxato76498 жыл бұрын
Benoit Vanhees Then gentle would've been a better word considering gentle doesn't = fragile. You say that like if it's flawless logic but it really isnt.
@Retroscoop8 жыл бұрын
Nyxato My name ain't Spock, sir, whatever my logic is or isn't, I'm always open to change my point of view based on arguments. When Sting is singing about "fragile", what do you think he meant ? I have been thinking for the right adjective for LR's singer, and up to now I haven't nailed down THE word that sums it up. The word "sensual' would not be right, because that would involve a more "positive", less plaintive way of singing. Sensual was sometimes, not always true for Kate Bush. Sensual would be right for let's say Loreena McKennitt or Enya. Fragile is also not the word I would have chosen, though I understand what the one who launched it meant. And as a male listener, doesn't plaintive vocals always bring up the hidden knight in us, whether the nowadays "damzels in distress" like it or not. It's something automatic. But she doesn't sound 'plaintive" like Adele or Fiona Apple, which to me is a bit over the top. Maybe two words together are needed do describe it, maybe she has found a spot in the musical spectrum which makes it very difficult to find anyone who she could be compared with ? Even let's say the soft complaining of the front woman of the Motels isn't exactly the same. To describe LG, you'd need to put together elements such as purity, sensuality, the plaintive part, the fact that she reduces her singing to the core, the strict necessary in a highly effective way. Hats off for the one who finds the right word !

This song reminds of November 26th, the day my house got destroyed by the worst earthquake we had ever had in 40 years. We were listening to this song in the radio as we were driving away from my hometown and as our heart was shattered in pieces. It was the first time I saw my parents cry, the people who have always given me strength and hope. I will forever be traumatized by this event. It’s almost hard to believe how small and unimportant we are in this planet.

Lyrics: Excuse me for a while While I'm wide-eyed And I'm so damn caught in the middle I excused you for a while While I'm wide-eyed And I'm so damn caught in the middle And a lion, a lion roars, would you not listen? If a child, a child cries, would you not forgive them? Yeah I might seem so strong Yeah I might speak so long I've never been so wrong Yeah I might seem so strong Yeah I might speak so long I've never been so wrong Excuse me for a while Turn a blind eye With a stare caught right in the middle Have you wondered for a while? I have a feeling deep down You're caught in the middle If a lion, a lion roars, would you not listen? If a child, a child cries, would you not forgive them? Yeah I might seem so strong Yeah I might speak so long I've never been so wrong Yeah I might seem so strong Yeah I might speak so long I've never been so wrong Excuse me for a while While I'm wide-eyed And I'm so damn caught in the middle Have you wondered for a while? This song has such a beautiful, emotional and strong energy. It really speaks to me. Currently in a difficult mental state. Always have been putting myself second for others, let people step over my boundaries until it took too much of my energy, leaving me drained. This song came up and I cried when she sung “I might seem so strong, I might speak so long, I’ve never been so wrong”. Beautiful ❤️

for me, this song represents that part inside of all of us we know we need to let out (lion roaring), our inner child needing healing (child crying) and then the line “caught in the middle” representing those moments in life where you’re caught in a transitional period of who you once were and who you’re becoming and how painful and alone it can feel. once we listen to the strength inside of us and heal our inner child we can get get through those transitional periods. what an emotional song. it seems to purge any stagnant, old energy im holding onto and allows me to just cry. love it.

Im seeing many people in the comments sharing about lost loved ones. I wanted to express somethong to all of you. I personally havent had anyone very close to me pass but i know it could absolutly detroy me. I wont fully understand untill it happens. But i do feel alot of empathy for you all❤ I really don't mean to be cheesy or dismissive of anyones pain. But there is something I do beleive and keep in mind. All I know for a fact is that energy can never be destroyed. Only transfered. I don't know where that energy goes of a passed loved one, but just know it doesn't die. I think where ever they go, they are being loved and taken care of. I also think energy transfers between people, leaving imprints. Transfering part of them into you. A soul connection that is Forever. ❤ sending everyone love and thank you all for sharing.

Because I’ve lost my father in July 2020, because the virus got him and he had diabetes, to me he wasn’t that old only 64 years old, 😞 it’s so hard and painful. But wee need to keep going, I’m sure they will love to see us happy, I know it’s not easy thing to do, but we can try day by day. Some times you’ll feel you can’t do it any more like, but we need to remember like I said before they are watching us and they want us to be happy, more than just being strong!! May God Bless you if you believe in God if not just received them form me to you and entire family!!! 💐

Absolutely love this!! Hannah's voice gives me goose bumps and I think they made a wise decision to make the accompanying instrumentation understated and subtle, letting her voice take center stage. As an aside, when so many modern "artists" are without talent and are only popular because they flaunt their sexuality, it's a breath of fresh air to see a band that is simply excellent. Hannah usually dresses in jeans and a sweater with very little makeup and simply wows us with her vocal range and tone. A TRUE artist!!

A hero, their hero, and the best father they could have. And all the sacrifices are nothing, all the pain and the struggling have a meaning, and you are willful to take them all. May you rise toward the greatest heigh of happiness in this life, my beloved children.

I just bought him a shirt and a pijama not long ago and he never had the chance to wear it, time is running out really quickly. Accept Jesus in your life before it’s too late, have a relationship with Christ and you will be saved🤍
