My mother passed away and took her last breath. I was by her bed with my siblings, I was strong and hid my sorrow. I kissed my mum goodbye. Then drove home still numb and that’s when this song started playing on the radio. My emotions came to surface, I pulled over and broke down and cried. I will never forget that time. I miss my mum and this song reminds me of her. 😢🌟❤️

listening to this song while watching people walk by, cars drive by, slow breeze hitting your face and hair, the sun about to set, golden red painted sky, you take a moment to shut out the world, and take in the immensity and magesticity of the world, and everything that you've been through, the way life has shaped in your memory, and everything life will bring to you next.

Coming back to this song always helps me to bring to the surface the emotions I have been hiding or keeping away from others. I’m strong for others to only be away to break into a million pieces when I’m alone. When I’m done, I do my best to pick up all the pieces and move forward. Thank you LG for helping me process all the pain.

Sorry but being from the UK has nothing to do with great voices. Yes, being from the UK is an advantage because English is the most commercialised language in music. You know there are fucking great voices out there that beat the fuck out of the UK. Everyone is blessed with a voice. Talent doesn't choose countries.

this song is the feeling of waking up from an afternoon sleep, right after you open your eyes, when for a moment you have no idea about your problems or worries and just see the light coming through the window and say to yourself "wow, that's beautiful". (and i'm grateful to have this song because frankly i rarely have time for the afternoon sleep part) but before i get any more self-indulgently poetic: i wanted to share a song called "a sign" by seaside, because it reminded me of this, and because it deserves more views. it has the same kind of relentlessly hopeful vibe as this song or hey now - listen to it and then spread the word :)

I fist found this song/video when my daughter was due to be born in a few months. For me, it was a song about parenthood and burning as bright as you can as a teacher, parent and protector for the benefit of your child. And in turn they will be able to watch, learn, and be amazed so when your own flame begins to dim, they’ll be there to tuck you in at night.

Im seeing many people in the comments sharing about lost loved ones. I wanted to express somethong to all of you. I personally havent had anyone very close to me pass but i know it could absolutly detroy me. I wont fully understand untill it happens. But i do feel alot of empathy for you all❤ I really don't mean to be cheesy or dismissive of anyones pain. But there is something I do beleive and keep in mind. All I know for a fact is that energy can never be destroyed. Only transfered. I don't know where that energy goes of a passed loved one, but just know it doesn't die. I think where ever they go, they are being loved and taken care of. I also think energy transfers between people, leaving imprints. Transfering part of them into you. A soul connection that is Forever. ❤ sending everyone love and thank you all for sharing.

My most sincere condolences to you and your family, I know what you’re feeling right know! Because I’ve lost my father in July 2020, because the virus got him and he had diabetes, to me he wasn’t that old only 64 years old, 😞 it’s so hard and painful. But wee need to keep going, I’m sure they will love to see us happy, I know it’s not easy thing to do, but we can try day by day. Some times you’ll feel you can’t do it any more like, but we need to remember like I said before they are watching us and they want us to be happy, more than just being strong!! May God Bless you if you believe in God if not just received them form me to you and entire family!!! 💐

Can people stop insulting other artists? Ok, you don't like Nicki Minaj, but that doesn't mean she's untalented. The talented artists aren't the ones that only you listen to. Music is subjective, not OBjective. Which means that some like it, others don't. I like 30 Seconds To Mars, others don't. Yeah, sure, I don't understand how they can't like them, but if they say for example that they like Disclosure, and I don't, I'm not gonna say they're untalented, mainly because they're selling and selling, which means people like their sound, same as 1D, 5S0S Justin Bieber etc etc. So, just coz it's your sound doesn't mean they're not good to others. So stop insulting others. It's YOUR opinion, don't assume everyone has your opinion coz to assume (to use a military term) makes an ass out of u and me, or in this case, just you, and you can't pass off opinions as facts, so put IMO or IMHO in front or something.

30secondstomarsMBH Nope! Music is not subjective ,taste is subjective. Thats why U can separate talented ppl form not talented , good music from no good. There R objective patterns U can use. But yes , taste is subjective U like any kinda musci U wanna. Just saying etc: "Britney Spears is talented and her music is good"-is a huge lie not subjective taste:))).And dont forget, succes and talent is not the same! Thats why its called showbiz not X-factor. Ok? Showbiz is for to sell U everything. And if U have those patterns to separate good from bad- U gonna find diamonds amongst crap.Thats why million selling of Milli Vanilli and Pink Floyd,also.
@adala1007
@adala1007 9 жыл бұрын
30secondstomarsMBH And why ppl insulting "artists" its not becuz they R retards but becuz the need of talent and quality music is inside of many ppl. Just a natural need of beauty ,quality, piece ,etc. But U see showbiz can sell Justin Bieber also. Why? So simple. Showbiz sells crap to teen gen cuz there taste, way of thinking is very, very flexible and fragile . Like Erickson (psychologist) said, teen gen from 15-18 try to find there own role, ownself,own taste,etc and this is the area where enthusiasm works so hard,being a fan of an idol. But yes, many time ppl insulting others just becuz they R retards or they think there taste is the only pattern. Thats why U dont understand why ppl dont like 30 seconds to Mary.:)

***** Lol. Except I do understand why people don't like Mars, because it's subjective. Taste is subjective and music preference (e.g what you think is good and what you think is bad) is based on taste, hence music is subjective. Talent is also based on subjectiveness. If you don't like football you won't recognise talent in Ronaldo, or Messi. If you don't like Mars you won't recognise the talent. It's all about taste, and what can appeal to a mass audience. The more it appeals to them, the more talent they are deemed to have. I know someone who doesn't like Michael Jackson, they personally wouldn't be able to say he is talented because if he was, they'd theoretically like his music. They just recognise that others like his music, and a lot of others, so they assume he is talented. Nicki Minaj is evidently talented because if she wasn't she wouldn't have been noticed and she wouldn't have made so much money. There is a talent there. It's just about recognising that it's about subjectiveness. Not intelligence, or anything like that, it's about subjectiveness.

for me, this song represents that part inside of all of us we know we need to let out (lion roaring), our inner child needing healing (child crying) and then the line “caught in the middle” representing those moments in life where you’re caught in a transitional period of who you once were and who you’re becoming and how painful and alone it can feel. once we listen to the strength inside of us and heal our inner child we can get get through those transitional periods. what an emotional song. it seems to purge any stagnant, old energy im holding onto and allows me to just cry. love it.

This song reminds of November 26th, the day my house got destroyed by the worst earthquake we had ever had in 40 years. We were listening to this song in the radio as we were driving away from my hometown and as our heart was shattered in pieces. It was the first time I saw my parents cry, the people who have always given me strength and hope. I will forever be traumatized by this event. This song always gives me the strongest nostalgia feeling. I remember in September 2014, when I was 17 years old, our class made a trip to Lago di Garda in Italy (I live in Germany). Although we weren't allowed to wander off in the evening, I went for a walk at the lake by my self. I put my headphones in and played this song. I still remember, like it was yesterday, when the song started I looked across the lake, seeing all those beautiful lights at the other side of the lake, while inhaling that beautiful Italian summer air and thinking about that Girl I was dating, who was waiting for me back home in Germany. Life was so perfect at that time. There is no song, that has such an impact on me on that level. Everytime listen to that song, I am 17 again and at that lake. I still have that beautiful smell of Lake Garda in summertime in my nose. It's crazy.

@Retroscoop
@Retroscoop 8 жыл бұрын
+Nyxato I would use "smooth" for Sade or Judie Tzuke, "tuned' too sounds odd. I thing "fragile" here is not meant in the sense of "weak'' of course that isn't the case, but the atmosphere has something "gently depressive", hence fragile.
@nyxato7649
@nyxato7649 8 жыл бұрын
Benoit Vanhees Then gentle would've been a better word considering gentle doesn't = fragile. You say that like if it's flawless logic but it really isnt.
@Retroscoop
@Retroscoop 8 жыл бұрын
Nyxato My name ain't Spock, sir, whatever my logic is or isn't, I'm always open to change my point of view based on arguments. When Sting is singing about "fragile", what do you think he meant ? I have been thinking for the right adjective for LR's singer, and up to now I haven't nailed down THE word that sums it up. The word "sensual' would not be right, because that would involve a more "positive", less plaintive way of singing. Sensual was sometimes, not always true for Kate Bush. Sensual would be right for let's say Loreena McKennitt or Enya. Fragile is also not the word I would have chosen, though I understand what the one who launched it meant. And as a male listener, doesn't plaintive vocals always bring up the hidden knight in us, whether the nowadays "damzels in distress" like it or not. It's something automatic. But she doesn't sound 'plaintive" like Adele or Fiona Apple, which to me is a bit over the top. Maybe two words together are needed do describe it, maybe she has found a spot in the musical spectrum which makes it very difficult to find anyone who she could be compared with ? Even let's say the soft complaining of the front woman of the Motels isn't exactly the same. To describe LG, you'd need to put together elements such as purity, sensuality, the plaintive part, the fact that she reduces her singing to the core, the strict necessary in a highly effective way. Hats off for the one who finds the right word !

Absolutely love this!! Hannah's voice gives me goose bumps and I think they made a wise decision to make the accompanying instrumentation understated and subtle, letting her voice take center stage. As an aside, when so many modern "artists" are without talent and are only popular because they flaunt their sexuality, it's a breath of fresh air to see a band that is simply excellent. Hannah usually dresses in jeans and a sweater with very little makeup and simply wows us with her vocal range and tone. A TRUE artist!!

My friend would put this song on when we used to go out in his silver hatchback when we was like 18. We used to drive out into the Yorkshire countryside just as the sun was going down and listen to this after we had smoked some joints. We would sit there so relaxed and I felt like we we're being transported through time and space as her voice echoed through the car like a choir in a church. I'm 26 now and I am no longer friends with this person, but Hearing this song just brings back those memories of pure peace and tranquillity on a summers evening with one of your best friends, not worried about anything, just enjoying the moment for what it was...
