Seriously, people should start putting limits on budgets for a lot of these movies. It seems that for many, once they go over a certain budget, the money over that budget is just a waste. I know this sounds strange, but many people seem to do more with less or do things smarter at least. I do not know if too much money makes them lose sight of what is important or makes them careless, or are these movies really being directed by people who would have made a bad movie regardless of budget. But one thing is for sure. With a reasonable budget, at least ridiculous amounts of money will not be wasted.

Temujin18S Thank you Temujin18S. I am delighted to see that there are those that agree with me on this subject. I can understand that sometimes a higher budge is needed for some things and that the money is well spent. But that kind of budget was not needed here nor is it needed for many other movies.

If anything, I think you guys went too easy on this. Not only did they leave 5 world leaders dangerously and unrealistically exposed, once they were blown up the movie moves on as if they meant nothing and that the US president is the only important one. When a few of the police turn out to be terrorists, the 'mericans give themselves carte blanche to shoot any policeman on sight! Later on in the film when the UK's elite armed forces the SAS turn up, Mike Banning starts telling the SAS sergeant what to do and they just follow his direction despite having zero jurisdiction. If the SAS turn up, they already have a plan, and that's the plan they'll be carrying out! Stoopid.

A lot of the police and others were killed and replaced just before the funeral event. In that case they don't need to go through the academy. There could be the forging of official transfer papers and so forth to be presented to the officials on sight. Most questions would be swayed by such documents. Each group would not be aware of the same thing happening in other groups of police or first responders. Plus they had an insider with top security clearance and access. He could provide openings for them to plant explosives as well as specific locations of top dignitaries and their itineraries. The planning would have been over two years, but the replacement of the security and first responders was probably all done within hours of funeral. The replacements would only need training for the specific situation they would be in for the funeral, such training can be done out of the country. That way the attack can begin before suspicions arise to any significant degree.

@KimmimaruSai8 жыл бұрын
Idk if you've seen it already but I saw it a few weeks ago on TV and it was pretty trashy. Idk if I'd say it spits in the face of terror attack survivors, but it's definitely a joke attempt of addressing the topic to the point where it really just comes off as simple-minded (Trump level honestly) propaganda. The movie ACKNOWLEDGES the fact that these terrorists are born of US mistakes and mistreatments militarily more than once, but then unnecessarily abuses some of these "terrorists" on levels that are pretty inhumane. There's even racial attacks. It's American exceptionalism at its finest. The ending of the movie is the dumbest and most pointless thing ever, it spits in the face of diplomacy on any level. So people (including my mom) wanted to excuse it by saying "it's fine because they're terrorists they don't deserve humanity", okay but it's so fucking ridiculous that it actually just shits on victims of these attacks too. It trivializes the entire issue. If you want to make an action movie, make an action movie. If you want to make a political commentary, make one. The half-assed political commentary is action-dialogue, so it comes off as super basic and nonsensical. It's hard to believe any of them were meant to portray professionals. Not to mention the acting is awful, the CGI/action is awful, the plot is awful, and the writing is awful.

Personally I liked this movie. My whole family did. Two people in their 20's and older parents. This shouldn't be relevant, but since you included it in your review, none of us like Trump. Please don't compare people who enjoy the movie to him. He disgusts us. This movie does not. Why would it? It's a fun, old school type action movie. Don't take it too seriously, go with it, and you'll have fun. I usually enjoy these videos, but I have to admit, sometimes I wonder how much you should be reviewing certain movies. Like this one. I googled the budget and easily came up with 60 million, not over 100 million like you claimed. Now I did get a laugh out of the credits when I read Morgan Freeman had a stunt double. I was like, "For what?!" Haha. Anyway, maybe pay more attention to the movie you're going to review though. The main character's name is MIKE, not Matt. It is said plenty of times for you not to mess that up. Hard to take you at all seriously when that's a mistake in your video. Offensive? Are you serious? Loads of movies have attacks and bombings and you're claiming this movie is super offensive to real events in Paris??? You might as well say a movie is offensive if it portrays anything terrible like murder. *Facepalm* If you want to be offended, I suppose when they mistakenly claimed Britain to be our oldest ally, that could be construed as offensively incorrect. France was, not Britain. One of my favorite parts of this movie was near the end when there is some seriously spectacular video game-like footage. There's an advancement on the terrorist stronghold scene and it's followed up by an infiltration with night vision that was so cool to watch. Also I liked that the relationships between the characters continued from the first film and was done well. In a portion of your video, you gripe about how over the top Pro-America it is, but compared to the first one, they toned it way down. Olympus has Fallen had a slow motion flag fluttering to the ground. *Gag*. Or how about the random pledge by the Secretary of Defense about to be executed? Came off pathetic and cringe-worthy. This time with President Asher, at least it actually seemed to fit when he began to recite his duty to the office he held and his ownership of it. On the whole, this review was partially inaccurate and reeked of bias. However, I agreed with and liked some of the review. I like a lot of your videos. They're good for a laugh and entertainment. I am in full agreement it started off well like you guys said, and I also do agree it isn't some mega awesome film for the ages. It's what it tries to be. Crazy ridiculous scenario to plunge the President of America into danger so Mike Banning can be bad-*ss. The set-up so the bad guys can pull off their plan? Insanely stupid but it had to happen so the movie could happen. You go with it cause it's a fun action movie. As for the U.S. President taking center stage? Well, yeah, three reasons: Characters from the previous film, American made, and the U.S. being number one world power make him the most important target. I do partially agree with you concerning Banning's brutality and crazy tactics (and let's face it, in this universe, he's essentially invincible, much like Liam Neeson in Taken). But at the same time it's uncomfortable to watch, recall what has just happened very, very recently. These people murdered a bunch of people, including many leaders of nations, and are now trying to kill the man he highly respects, the man he is trained to protect at all cost, and the man who is his good friend. Emotions are running high, adrenaline is running high, and he's a trained killer. I actually applaud the inclusion of developing these characters to act differently (and realistically) in such a high-stakes and terrifying situation suddenly thrust upon them. Did I wish Mike hadn't resorted to painfully killing the terrorist's brother? Yes, of course, much like Asher did. But I get what made him do it too. Calling him a psycho or anything near it is a little far-fetched. You're right about the motorcycle part. I laughed when you guys talked about it. I'm certainly not saying everything you shared is wrong, but enough was simply offensive to a potential audience member or fan viewing your review that I decided to make a comment for anyone that comes to the video. No big deal overall, just putting my opinion on here as well. Thanks if anyone bothers to read through all of this!

dude i just looked over your comments on other videos and frankly your not worth anymore of my time because of how arrogant you are, so as you would say. Goodbye.

+PelenTan "...we don't want to hear your political views. We just want a review of the movie." and "We don't watch these for political commentary." ....I think you mean "I" not "We". Even if you think other people agree with you, you are only speaking for yourself. I personally do not agree with you, so I know you don't speak for me; and guessing by the like-to-dislike ratio on this video, a lot of people disagree with you.

Odd that you think there is only one person in my household. Or that I don't speak for a number of my friends who feel the same way. Or over 50% of the population of the United States who have rejected all moves with heavy political views. But hey. You win. I'm gone. I'll be sure to pass on that this channel is into heavy political indoctrination in the guise of movie reviews.
