If you search "Best Places in London to buy LEGO", 6 shops come up on the results. 4 of them are official LEGO Stores (a video on those is coming soon!) and in this video we visit the other two: Hamleys, the biggest toy shop in the world and Harrods, London's fanciest and most famous department store. I'm not expecting loads of cheap or rare LEGO sets, but I am hoping to find some cool builds on display and maybe an exclusive minifig or two...

A couple of years ago, Hamleys off-loaded all of their excess stock of their exclusive Royal Guard Minifigure to the Leicester Square LEGO store. I believe they were/are £10 each in Hamley’s? The LEGO store were selling three pre-packaged for £4.99. From what I know. The LEGO store removed the Minifigures from the Hamley’s packaging and sold them in the blister pack. The last time I was in Hamley’s they’d moved the exclusive Minifigure to the till areas. I guess they’d lost a lot to shoplifters?

I used to have lego when I was a kid, literally great memories. I can't believe it's so popular now! I live in Portugal now and there's a few Lego stores here including a special one in Coimbra, with models of the Taj Mahal, Sydney Opera House and London bridge. Congrats on the new channel from an FM regular.

The Minifigure is kept in the back, last time I was there (last November) I got three of them for £5 each

Liberty London has a great model of its very large building on the top floor - when you return in a few weeks you should make a quick stop to look at it !!

The Leicester store minifig exclusive should be hanging up in polybag near checkout, it was last June 23. The guard minifig exclusive, I believe, is exclusive to Hamleys. It is often showing as out of stock online.

Lester is no longer available and was withdrawn from sale late last year.

you should check out the art of brick exhibition. You can't buy much lego but some of the art is incredible.

Lego discontinued the exclusive minifigs last autumn. So no more Lester minifigure in Leicester Sq or Guardsmen at Hamley's I'm afraid :(

No no no! They put it right at the top so you see everything else on the way up. It's a psychology thing. Just like lots of toilets, cafes etc are on upper floors in department stores too

Hamleys overprice there Lego in stores but on the website they are normal prices. You have to just ask them to price match
