The Bridge House in Canning Town was one of East London's most notable Pub Rock venues. It opened in 1975 and started the careers of Iron Maiden, Cockney Rejects and the Blues Band (featuring Paul Jones), among others.
It was run by an ex-boxer called Terry Murphy, who encouraged Ray Winstone to become an actor and who appeared on the first night of ITV boxing.

I grew up in Gresham Road, canning town. I never knew this as I was 3 in 91.

It was knocked down in 2001 when the a13 was widened. it is under the slip road.
