Is the game footage sped up? Because I remember this game being incredibly slow irl? Will you cover the versions on the ps2 too?

I have a suspicion that he set his emulator to overclock the emulated CPU clock speed, hence the speed up. The game's not this fast, I'm sure of it

Did you set the emulated CPU clock speed above 100% by any chance? The game looks extremely sped up and that's usually a sign of above 100% emulated CPU overclock.

​@@Adam_OldRacingGames Then kinda weird. I've played it on original hardware and it's not that fast. You could also see footages of this game from other channels and it's not this fast as well Either emulated CPU clock is above 100% or you accidentally turned off frame limiter.

He could have also used usa/Japan default settings, which would make the game run faster due to clock speed being different between na/pal. Iirc clocks on 220v50hz were slower than clocks on 60hz power lines, so brit games ran slower compared to American and jap ports of the same game.

I remember getting this on the PS1 and tolerated it for about a week before forgetting about it...the kerbs used to drive me potty😅 went back to ridge racer, gran turismo and demo derby 💪🏻

Yeah the game is sped up via emulation. mine doesn't run this fast in DuckStation.

I'm fairly certain I only used to play this a bunch because it was better than its pretty appalling sequel, and because my Gran Turismo 1 disc went missing for the best part of a decade. Fond memories though
