London is very expensive but no way is that worth £12,000 a month. I'd be surprised I'd they get anyone staying longer 4 months. It looks like a holiday rental given it's on a busy road so close to shops, bars etc. The 189 bus is in the video and that goes to expensive places like St John's wood, Marble Arch ETC, but even if the house is in those areas you can get nicer and larger apartments and houses for less than 8,000

well, this house is in South Hampstead, leading to St Johns Wood which is probably 300 yards away. Agreed, not worth the £12k a month.

I’m not sure how 4 beds with a garage and a utility equates to tiny but regardless, I love this house! I could convert a basement bedroom into a gym, squeeze a hot tub in the back yard.. it’s perfection!❤
@ZeoCyberG

It's relative, for someone used to estates, mansions, etc it's probably is tiny to them... All depends what you're used to...
@juliemariesmith8378

@@ZeoCyberG it is tiny compared to a mansion of course. But I think tiny home has an actual meaning, and this can’t be it 😂
@ZeoCyberG
@ZeoCyberG Жыл бұрын
@@juliemariesmith8378 There's no absolutes with Tiny, it just means very small but that's just a description that relies on what you're comparing it to for what is considered normal size. Something to keep in mind is houses are not all the same size all over the world. Like in Australia the average is over 2700 Sq Ft but in China the average is 500 Sq Ft. Different people can have very different ideas of what's normal...
@juliemariesmith8378
@juliemariesmith8378 Жыл бұрын
@@ZeoCyberG I agree there’s no rule on what normal is! But would say a Tiny Home is more well defined than something as wishy washy as the term ‘normal’
@ZeoCyberG
@ZeoCyberG Жыл бұрын
@@juliemariesmith8378 Nope, there's no actual definition of a tiny home. Even the term home is generic! It's why people apply it to anything someone is living in, regardless if it was ever intended to be a residence. People just like to label things but it's not something that's ever going to be universally agreed upon because people all over the world don't perceive the world with the exact same standards. So the closest you can get is some priority standard used as a place holder, for lack of an alternative, but it'll never be accepted by everyone. For example, in the states, they try to push 400 Sq Ft or less as tiny. Mostly because that was the threshold that was set that anything larger had to meet residential codes but anything smaller did not, which actually has nothing to do with labeling the size and was fully arbitrary. So people still argue it and it doesn't take much of a size difference for people to argue what is and isn't tiny, even if all of them are below 400 Sq Ft (~37 m2). Or have it overlap to even larger sizes because the legal threshold is a bit different for structures on foundations for what is a legal residence and the arguments continue to the 800 Sq Ft (~74 m2) range or even higher to 1500, etc as that's still below the minimum allowed in some places in the states. While in Canada, despite their proximity to the states, have different legal thresholds and something like a Park Model can be upwards to about 538 Sq Ft (50 m2), wherein the states a Park Model can't exceed 400 Sq Ft by law because it doesn't follow any residential code standards. Examples abound of how it's different around the world and the basis for any standards are always proprietary and arbitrary... So there's nothing more to it than the wishy washy term as 'normal'... You can get some people to agree but not all people on what that is and that's just the nature of how that actually works...

Lovely property. Great presentation. One thing I don't understand is, it was built in 2021 from scratch. They charge 12K/m for it. Yet, they somehow did not think of smart central ventilation with recuperation, and instead they put in those split AC units. Especially in one of those rooms is right above the bed (imho, that one will never be used while the folks will be in their bed). Plus the table in the middle of the kitchen, that would be the first thing I would chuck out of there and I have a feeling Tom would do the same :)

Try and cook a dinner for 8 in that kitchen... Nope. The garage and the mini driveway is great though! Make 1 bedroom an office, another bedroom a library. Maybe 1 room for a guest, extra storage or a gym. Put in a bathtub and a mini elevator. Re do the front yard ... (Perhaps not even permitted and is soon to come come down). The place is too small for a family with children... everyone is in the stairwell up and down... It is good for family with children as a hotel (ie short term) accommodation, but how fast will the looks and finishes fade then, when the multitudes traipse through it.😅 Nope... doesn't work for rental. IMO.

The small table in the kitchen was lol. But the kitchen is not big enough to accommodate 4 individuals/couples and if it's gonna be rented by a family, all the kids are gonna be bumping into each other.

I'm sorry, but NO. The only excuse for this I can think of is the designer/builder must have been dropped on their head as a baby. It does not fit in with the surrounding houses, it looks absolutely ridiculous. They could have actually overcome this issue by adding 2 more floors and making the exterior match the rest of the homes on that side of the street. But that is the only thing that would save it. This is such a wasted opportunity I can't even imagine what they were thinking.

I think I'd spend hours sitting in that "really private" 🙄 front garden, all 40 sq feet of it, just soaking up the ambience of that bird bath and the traffic right outside - fabulous! Seriously - this mock Georgian wendy house at 12 grand a month just underscores how insane London is. That thing gives me claustropoibia just watching the video. I wouldn't want to live there at any price - the 12k just shows they have a sense of humour I guess. Seriously god awful. Congratulations, I think even by this channel's standards you may have a new winner in terms of truly terrible and bonkers price winning combo. Although admittedly there's quite a bit of competition.
