@@PaddyTheBaddyUFC My best friend committed suicide a couple of years back, and others have tried but survived through sheer luck. I myself have battled with serious depression for six months ever since me and my girlfriend (the only one I've ever had) for the last seven years broke up. I've had, and still to some extent still have problems with substance abuse and loneliness, and for the first time I'm actually able to speak about it in a proper way. I still struggle from time to time, and I also have younger friends that struggle with the same inner demons - I've been showing the clip of you talking about the stigma surrounding men's mental health to all my boys, time and time again. You have no idea what an impact you've made on me and the lads, you're a fucking legend and a beautiful human being Paddy! People I know who've never been interested in the UFC are now eagerly anticipating your next fight, can't wait to see you rock that fookin Octagon! Much love, keep up the good work!

as someone who climbed from the depths up I am here to encourage you to not give up. When your in the pit everything seems hopeless but trust me when I say it is all about perspective. What has helped me the most is to do combat sports since it helped reset the nervous system allowing me to feel calm again. There is a very helpful book called "The Body Keeps the score" from Bessel van der Kolk and I highly recommend to read it trough. Your not alone in your fight friend.
