From Brick Lane Market itself, with its Sunday mish-mash of second-hand treasure troves, to the Brick Lane Backyard Market (open on Saturdays and Sundays) selling a mix of kitsch arts and crafts, and the delectable Old Boiler House in the Truman Brewery with it's 30+ street food stalls (open on weekends), there's something for every taste and palate at Brick Lane Market. Whether you’re searching for second hand art deco furniture, vintage clothing, classic records or one-of-a-kind knick-knacks, you’ll uncover an array of weird, wonderful and on-trend bits and pieces amongst the stalls of Brick Lane’s Sunday market.
If you’re looking for something extra creative sold with a serious helping of community spirit, pop into the Backyard Market on Saturday or Sunday to discover even more stalls and unique sellers all touting their (often) handmade wares, complete with artistic flair.
On the West side of Brick Lane, Ely’s Yard plays host to a very fine array of street food sellers, while the Old Boiler House provides covered dining and long trestle tables surrounded by over thirty scrumptious sellers. Food blogger Giulia Mulé of the Mondomulia blog recommends Mother Clucker’s "crispy Southern style fried chicken. After brining and a buttermilk bath, the meat is tender and the crispy. You must have the hot sauce with it." and also urges Brick Lane visitors to seek out The Rib Man who is "the big daddy of London's street food scene. His slow cooked pork ribs are served in massive wraps. All his pork is outdoor bred too. To make it perfect, add a generous squeeze of his Holy **** sauce."
For even more meaty treats, make sure you stop by The Orange Buffalo These double awarding winning Buffalo Wings are touted as being the best in the UK and have a loyal cult like following. I'm using just a small SONY camera for vlogging - I've got DSLR too, but it's too heavy, can't zoom in properly - I don't like to use it, unless I'm doing a photo shoot on the beach.
