London Taxi Drivers try Korean BBQ for the first time!

Today we're back with the London Cabbies to introduce them to one of my favourite Korean BBQ combos, and an absolute classic: Samgyeopsal and Bibimmyeon.
Genuinely wasn't expecting any of them to like the cold noodles by themselves but it seems like these guys are used to having to eat food cold on the go, and they were so open to trying new things!

This series with the taxi drivers are refreshingly good. They have that innocence in them and the fun in the way they interact. They were amazing, and still amazing. They are kind, humble and funny too. I love that Josh and Ollie let them experience Korea through food when all this while they are always busy taking people to places. Isn't it lovely that Josh and Ollie can share their love for Korea to others in many different ways? I really feel happy about it. Although I am not Korean, I love their culture and respect them. @@yzh236 안먹는 부위에요. 기름이 많다고 그나마 미국에서 얇게 썰아서 베이컨으로 몇 g 이런식으로 먹거나 우리가 먹었던 이유도 일본에서 돈까스 재료로 다 쓰고 남는 부위 삼겹살 족발 껍데기 내장류만 남아서 그런 부위 음식이 발달한거구요

@@yzh236 보통 삽겹살만 소비하는 경우는 거의 없어요 비계가 많아서 냄새가 많이 나는 부위라 베이컨처럼 향을 입히거나 소시지처럼 다른 부위랑 섞어서 사용하거나 하죠 우리나라처럼 생으로 소비하는 경우는 흔하지 않죠

I am Korean and whenever I watch this series, i am soooo surprised that Josh explains every Korean dish in very detail and introduces the perfect combination. You are more like Korean! Gosh! Even i did not imagine the pork 삼겹살 & bibim cold noodle together, of course like both, though. Plus, yes, it was refreshingly great to make a video with taxi drivers this time. Love that Josh and Ollie brought out their Quarantine Korean BBQ table! I’d recognize that table anywhere! And please do more with this group. I love how throughly “English” they are and their reactions to new food. Just like the students, the taxi drivers are honest, open-minded and quite funny! All the good elements for a successful show. Your team is great at finding good personalities! Edit: KZbin for iPhone doesn’t show the translate button anymore (at least with iOS 15) so I can read the Korean friends comments! That’s a bummer, I loved reading their comments too! 😞

@Stephanie Parker You could use an online translate page. I tried that on the first 2 comments in Korean, was interesting to be able to read those comments. Of course, you would be here forever translating every comment!

This made me happy. I like sharing different food with different cultures! Some of my friends growing up were Thai, Chinese and Korean. I'm Black but I introduced them to Pho and Japanese food. My bff Jae Eun showed my rural Italian food and Ethiopian [and of course Korean]. There's a lot of good food out there!

I love that you are doing this with taxi drivers! When I lived in London they were the friendliest people. Going from trains where people ignore each other to a taxi where the driver loves a good chat and is full of info is awesome for a tourist. Glad to see they are being appreciated here!

여기 토론토에 직장동료들을 데리고 한국 고기집을 간적이 있는데요, 한국 바베큐 정말정말 좋아했어요. 직접 구워 먹는다는 것도 재미있어 하구요. 맛있는거는 머 말할필요두 없엇구요! 삼겹살을 구우면서 옆에 김치도 살짝 올렸을때 이미 게임끝 ㅋㅋㅋ 거기에 소주를 권했더니 이미 한국과 사랑에 빠져있더라구요 ㅎㅎ 한국 바베큐집을 가면 외국사람들이 정말 많이 보여요. 직접 젓가락을 쓰면서 약간은 서투르지만 맛있게 즐기고 있는걸 보면 기분이 좋아지더라구요. 한국음식은 진짜 맛있지 않나요? ㅋㅋㅋ 재미있게 잘보고 갑니다. 삼겹살요리 동영상을 언능 만들어 올려야겟네요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
