The doors are called suicidal doors. There to stop passengers falling onto the tracks but they were used for trails though. Only a few stations on the Jubilee Line have them,

I liked before installing ATO system in the trains.... Drivers playing with their 1996TS to put correctly the trains on the JLE tram...

I believe they are also to stop draft from the train.

What is that ATO? I Sorry I don´t know too muc about this system, but I got a feeling you mean that system which not allows train to go faster, right? :)

Those stations with the platform doors were built in the late 90s where as the other deep level stations were built in the 70s (except St Johns Wood and Swiss cottage which were built around the 30s or 40s).

because only the new stations had them installed. Right now it would be a bit problematic to retrofit them into EVERY SINGLE STATION! And to date only the Jubilee line has any "Platform Edge Doors."

Incorrect. The doors are there to improve air-flow in stations and to reduce the "pistol effect" caused by trains travelling through the tunnels and past platforms. Trespass prevention is just a secondary feature.

The section that has them was an extension of the line. They are actually to do with fans in the tunnels which can be switched on to blow air in the necessary direction, where there to be a fire on the train, to stop it spreading. Although the platform edge doors do prevent suicides and other problems such as litter getting on the tracks causing fires, the primary purpose is related to the tunnel fans.

thank you very much...I had no clue...so that engine-drivers are not needed in this system....something like DLR, but here they are..... I like the sound of Jubilee line trains :)
