Hi Eric, Your situation calls for a radical re-think! It would be better to rip out all that woodwork and replace it with 6 inch wide shelving around the room to display your models. I layout on a single oblong board in the middle would be better, with space underneath for boxes. From the point of view of having a successful KZbin channel, a layout on a single board in the middle of the room gives you a greater choice of angles and shots, and obviates the need for a backscene! The drawback with a around the room baseboard is that you can only video from one direction and the view from the opposite direction cannot be featured. You'll have to get Dr Beeching in to help with the demolition! Have fun, and thanks for uploading.
@UndergroundEric5 ай бұрын
@@AllensTrains i disagree, i would soon get bored and it would be obvious. The big railway gives me different areas to focus on when i get tired of a current project
@AllensTrains5 ай бұрын
@@UndergroundEric If the layout is on a single board with a run-around loop behind you, then that allows the baseboard to be wider. If the run-around loop goes along a shelf behind you, then you have got space for shelving above to display models that are not on the layout. If the layout goes all around the room, then the space on the wall above the layout cannot be used because the baseboard prevents you from reaching up! Hope this helps!. Have fun.
