A thought about the bottom of the legs if you have those feet stuck out perhaps put a viewing rail around the front off of them so people don’t nock / kick the bottom of them. But its looking fantastic

Nice work, and fast progress (presumably needing to get it done while the ever patient missus is away?). I'd say conductor rails and cable runs next, as - for me - that's what marks it out as a Met layout, and you'll not get people asking (in a nasal rivet counter voice) how Sarah Siddons can move without electricity.

Love the latout so far. You have done really well in a short time. You asked what we want to see on it next. Well, you say you have an issue with cast shadows on to your back scene 'sky'. So, how about sticking a townscape backscene to the 'sky'. you will find that where the shadows fall will look correct if they fall onto a brick wall for example. Also, the layout is obviously set in the London area, so there would always be buildings in the near and far distance. Regards, Paul - in Cornwall.

Nice. OK, so the goods train was a bit too long. No matter. Simply take off a wagon or two and you'll have it the correct length. You don't need to be 100% realistic or accurate. You do what you want with your railway. If you fancy being silly with your trains, go ahead. Do something that has us laughing our heads off. If you're happy to be silly and run nonsensical trains, then we're happy too.

Super progress and a great demo of what DCC can do. Looking forward to the next installment.

I think to fix your wobbling problem, you could try to get two Harris barrier concrete base weights or something else of to that sort of mass

Eric, an amazing video as always! My layout really suffers lighting wise so will definitely look into your method of dual LED strips. As a southern region modeller I'm in the sticky situation where most of the electric sound profiles are awful. Your Sarah Siddons sound profile is the only profile for an electric unit I've heard that really captures the traction motor sounds. I know it's hard due to the lack of running southern units, but have you considered creating a sound profile for the southern units using that traction motor sound alongside other more unit specific elements. I for one would sacrifice a little bit of pin point accuracy for something that really embodies the feeling of a 2-bil or 2hal

I approve of layout lighting! I suspect that you may get more realistic lighting using two colour temperatures of white rather than RGB and white, however.

Great to see the loco's running around the depot, especially the night shots. Far be it for me too tell you what to do next, but...maybe start on the bridge? that bit by the signal is to bare. All the best.
