London Underground Vintage Unpainted Aluminium 1972 MkI Stock 3329, 4329, 4229 and 3229 passing Barons Court working Train 554 from Aldwych to Ruislip Depot via King's Cross St. Pancras. It is then seen passing West Harrow, Swiss Cottage and Regent's Park working from Ruislip Depot to Stonebridge Park Depot via Lambeth North.

Hi there. The LTM make a lot of money off Hidden London Tours so I'm sure when the pandemic ends you'll be able to see the train stabled in Aldwych.

Just as I remembered it when it served the Northern line with the 1959 stock. So identical looking to it's 1967 cousin but manual crew operated for the Northern line instead of automatic driving. This train has now been scrapped as TfL cannot afford to maintain it anymore as it has not been out and about much and TfL's finances took a hard knock because of coronavirus pandemic. It's components will be recovered to keep the other 72s on the Bakerloo line running.

Not possible, the roller blinds in these are for the Northern Line on DM3229 and it simply reads Holborn on DM3329

Wtf!! How could a manually operated tube stock go through an automated section (Swiss cottage that is)!! I though that once ATO is installed in that section, only automatic trains can pass through that section. Am I wrong?

So long as you have an ITMP (similar to a posession) where no trains run, you are allowed to drive incompatible trains along here. The last Jubilee Line train had to have left Baker Street before the '72 Stock was allowed out of Neasden.

When will they finally retire the 1976 stock, because from what I heard when these trains had a major overhaul a 1-2 years back they had found that the floor on the train had warped from being worked on too much with the welding and that there had been and issue where they had the replace/recreate carriage supports brackets because they had suffered from severe corrosion

A normal 1972 stock would have 7 coaches. 1:40 it only has 4 coaches.

This is a normal '72 Stock. Some have four cars, some have three. They couple together to make a seven car train.

@@AlexMetroman I wonder why going all the way to its mk2 cousin's Stonebridge Park depot rather than its normal pit stop at Northfields depot. Did it need special maintaince work done on it that Northfields was not able to do?

It's not a tail light, it's a stabling light which was accidentally left on.

Regardless of whether it is a dedicated stabling light or a tail light which also acts a stabling light, the switch has been accidentally left on resulting in this.

The stabling light is a singular red light. On certain stock, such as the D78, the tail lights and stabling light can be lit to produce three red lights.

Actually it is unpainted aluminium, with the addition with vinyl wrapped front ends.
