"Ocean sound" analogy is so cool and you are spot on. I am already struggling with squeaky notes. Thumbs up for the instruction. But man, your dog scared the shit out of me! For a split second I thought you were under attack.

So glad you found it helpful. Yes, different people call it in different ways....I liked the idea of the Ocean. At the end of the end it's just understanding how to allow all the air into the saxophone avoiding any blockages. Keep up the good practice! Any questions let me know!

my problem lies in the lowest of notes- to play them softly from C on down- and I went in and had adjustment on horn- much better, but still need better control- I will work on the ocean....
@LondonSaxophoneSchool2 жыл бұрын
If you work well on your middle notes then low and high notes will be a bit easier as you will have established a good control or the air flow. The Ocean Sound def helps tremendously :) Let me know how it goes!

What about the reed type. Doesn't it have effect on the sound?
@emmanuelokogun95962 жыл бұрын
I mean the size of the reed.
@LondonSaxophoneSchool2 жыл бұрын
Yes, sure it affects the sound. But it’s all down to you, your embouchure, your throat, diaphragm first and then the gear. I recommend starting with a vandoren blue n. 2 and then move up to 2.5 and eventually 3. This process might take several months... all depends on your needs😀😀
