Lone Wolf and Cub.... otherwise known as "Shogun Assassin," was an edited from "Baby Cart At The River Styx" and would become the version presented to the West. In all, there are a total of five Lone Wolf and Cub movies - all of them excellent films. These are the movies that inspired Quinton Terintino's Kill Bill 1 & 2. They really don't get any better than this.

A few corrections: Shogun Assassin is an independent film cut by Robert Houston and David Weisman from the first two Lone Wolf and the cub (Kozure) films: Sword of Vengeance (1972) and Baby Cart at the River Styx (1972), dubbed in English. There are six films in the series featuring Tomisaburo Wakayama's Ogami Itto. In addition to this series, Lone Wolf with child: An Assassin on the Road to Hell (1989), a long film that mixes the plots of several of the original films and Lone Wolf and Cub: Final Conflict (1993), which is practically a reimagining of the first film in the series. There is also a popular TV series of the same name A funny detail about Lone Wolf with child: An Assassin on the Road to Hell (1989) is that Tomisaburo Wakayama plays Ogami Itto's nemesis, Retsudo Yagyu. Indeed, Lone Wolf and the cub movies are the best samurai movies that exist. All Sort of Movies will present all six movies of the original series, as well as an introduction.
