to be honest i was thinking he could just sell the mood board (not customized, just template of whatever idea he has for a room) for people who wants to redo their spaces but don't have enough money to hire interior designer. or just to learn about design and sharpen your sense of aesthetic. bet people would buy it. but i wish he would be kind enough to make it free as monthly series like you suggested 😆

OMG, Drew! Today I came upon this video after being stuck on what I should do in the bedroom in my new apartment. This video helped me get all my ducks in a row. I made a mood board with my bed as the focal point because that's all I have, lol. I then began to add pieces to it having never designed anything in my life EVER. It came out amazingly!! I'm so thrilled. Thank you so much for your help. I'd love to share the board with you and how it all turns out in the end. If not, thank you so much anyway.

I’ve somehow been in my new flat for *3 years* this December 😱 I’m aghast. It’s still full of the boxes of junk I needed to declutter after living in my last place for 10 years (ran out of time before moving because I was also buying this place and it was hard!), and the old furniture pieces I brought with me as a stop-gap… but pandemic lockdowns happened and I got stalled! Somehow being in the place every day and having to put up with it as it was for a while seems to make it even harder to go back and actually get rid of the things I hate and make the place nicer and more my own, and definitely also mind going blank, or getting stuck in a loop about not being to figure out one thing til I’ve got this other thing sorted, but ending up never doing anything to just make a start! I’m hoping this video has given me enough tips and insight to at least start getting something out and into reality, even if it’s just the reality of a moodboard! Good luck with yours :)

Loved the video. Don't share your design aesthetic but, as you moved through the selection process, found I could almost anticipate where you were headed with the next choice. (The rounded sofa wasn't in keeping with your mention of something with legs so the one you ended up choosing is still iffy for me.) As someone who works with textiles, am all about the 'process,' so really like to see videos, such as this, about the 'vision' in the creative process.

On powerpoint you can take the background away pretty easily and decently accurately on pictures like there. It helps me a lot with making a moodboard cause sometimes the backround can distract from the colour pallette

I would love to se this from start to finish with a budget, to see what you diy and what you buy from the moodboard and how close the finish product is to the moodboard. I am also curious about the color, because it seems to me that you just had a couple color in your mind from when you choose the rug, and it seems like it came naturly for you, when it comes to me, i just gets so overwhem and it was nice to see how you found out what you wanted and played with it and change it when you felt like.

The designing process is both interesting and engaging. Personally l always spend more on couch / sofa compared to a rug. My big ticket items in the lounge/living room in order are: couch/sofa, rug, sideboard, lighting, coffee table, accent chair, side table, decor. I find Google images have a wider selection for key words than Pinterest.
