Creating the perfect dorm room was one of my favorite parts of being in college, so I wanted to share some simple and aesthetic projects to really spice up your room. Love the headboard! It is great just how you made it, and I can also imagine it made with a variety of straps and colors, and even variations on the weave. It could be made with black going vertically and white horizontally - or any two colors - for a checkerboard look. It could be made in a herringbone weave. It could be made with wide cotton straps for a boho look. It's good as a headboard or as a decorative piece.

Loved it all Drew ! Great fun for us older people with loadsa time on our hands and not much dexterity, nor much access to power tools! Not much bother too, but very very useful and pretty, beginners DIY kind of. And very, very relaxing and fulfilling at the end of the day, I imagine. My daughter is coming to crash at ours for a few months before her fellowship takes her away elsewhere, so maybe her room can do with a temporary fix like this made by her mum!
