Fantastic style of combining nostalgic soft vocals and oldschool bit with something new at the same time, and thre's new masterpeace! Finally I found a new music gem! Thank you so much!

Were there any old 80s synth influences for this new record? Reminds me of Depeche Mode and New Order these new songs.

I love the 80's feel to this song. I miss the joy of how those beats and melodies would uplift. This does that with a modern twist. Thank you.

Really looking forward to the new album….I can hear the influences but Julie completely makes them her own. I can hear New Order. The bass synth is astonishing.

Gods, I like it! All these 1980s'-flavoured glimpses (never dated), this poppier (never formulaic) tone. And your relationship with your Tele seems to change too, the smoother way you slide from one note to the next (more Reilly than Sumner, imho...). And the video, this dialogue of the now and then, it gives even more power to the song. Well done !

A joint-album with Vini Reilly of The Durutti Column a la "Psychic Life" would have been quite something wouldn't it, Francisco? 🤔 God bless, Vini, 🙏

Gas holders. Lots of towns have them. Sadly, recent governments have decided to reduce our storage capacities and we’re now importing most of our gas from abroad which is why we’ve got inflation of around 6%.

How long did it take to put the new album together, from deciding to do it to finishing the recording?
@LoneLadyHQ3 жыл бұрын
I started working with a new studio setup, so I had to figure out how to use the gear & develop new processes and sketches...this was around late 2016-2017...across 2017-18 the album really came together and I wrote virtually all of the music in Somerset House during that period. Then followed a difficult stop-start period and it eventually got to the finish line late 2020.
@NigelKing3 жыл бұрын
@@LoneLadyHQ So you were in Somerset House singing songs about Audenshaw! Will you be working more in Somerset House or was that a one off thing?
