I am a happy Clearwater light and brake light user on my GSA. But I think this will RIP them. My biggest issue was user interface. Not that I need it all the time but I shouldn’t be fiddling with clicks and brake pulls to change setting. Do a brake light set and you can dominate this segment.

Love how the high beam is white but the running light is amber. That’s what I don’t like about my Denali’s. You can get both now from Denali but it takes 4 connection and 2 Canbus which won’t fit in my GS and it doesn’t look as cool. Well done.

If you have the Gen II ezCAN with software version 2408 or later, it will work (this version is needed to update to the MotoLights version). The MotoLights software will be available to download in mid-October, well before the MotoLights start shipping.

These are awesome but i think there can be a few things to make this even better. - For those of us who ride with the white DRL, when you hit the indicator, it should switch to the orange flashing DRL. Same for if you turn on hazards. - To be able to switch the main spot on or off with a press and hold of a stock handlebar button rather than having to switch speed blending on or off from a computer. - A protective cover to go over the lens, either a metal cage or plastic covering. These are big, they will get hit with stones. Either that or a switchable lens. - Cant tell if the can be adjusted but the 2 screws on the sides look fixed so no horizontal adjustment. Might be wrong but otherwise your relying on the brackets for adjustment. Cant wait to try them though, some really good tech and thought went into them.

- If you set the DRLs to White, they will still flash Amber with your turning indicators - Spot is activated by tapping the Turning Indicator button three times. To deactivate, you blip the flash-to pass - Transparent covers will come shortly, we already have samples being tested - Each MotoLight bracket (what holds the pod) has 2 screws on each side. So here’s an idea… in addition to ‘inverse flashing when hazards active’, can we get some DRL strobe options when hazards active? Orange strobing DRLs would be useful while filtering through traffic jams. Maybe with some left/right alternating options or just inverse strobing whenever the hazards are on.

I supply & fit Denali lights at my garage in Weston super Mare. I've always been a fan & obsessed with Lone Rider products & always promote them to customers & friends. I won't diss Denali lights as they are amazing. However straight away I can see you have covered 2 main things that I've always thought was an issue. I'm not saying what as I still love Denali products. I'm very interested to see these. I might have to get a set. I was wondering if the Motolights would work with customers already installed Hex ezcan or Can smart unit, but I'm thinking they won't be able to configure all the new features that the Motolights have. Very nice video as always.

Thanks for your feedback! The MotoLights only work with MotoCAN or Gen II ezCAN, no other units regardless of brand. When connecting a set of MotoLights to the ezCAN, you will be prompted to download the correct software version from within the app. After that, you have access to all the functions as if you'd have a MotoCAN.

Thanks! In the first software release, you make the base settings via your computer (light intensity, DRL color, Speed Blending, etc). We are working on more functionalities and will continue to release new software versions for more flexibility. We will most likely also have BMW-specific features that allow you to make settings via the wonder wheel, but we will communicate this clearly once available.

Also, just like the HEX ezCAN, you set up the lights how you want them to behave when: High beam day time, High beam night time, Low beam day time and Low beam night time.. then you can additionally set what they should do when you put the bike's turn signals on etc.. then this all just happens automatically as you ride and use your high/low beam and whether it is day or night etc.

They are great, but won't they conflict with the turn signals? In normal mode, they are of the same color. The wide beam mode seems to overpower the turn signals as well.

No, the turning signal will override the full beam if this feature is enabled (see 11:10). You can also turn off the feature "Flash Amber with Turn Signals" if you don't want the MotoLights to flash together with them.

These look really well designed, but IMO, you made a major error with the DRL color scheme. Fog lights should be Yellow, NOT Amber! First, Amber lighting is illegal in the USA on the front of a vehicle, except for turn and hazard indicators (which MUST be Amber). Therefore, your DRLs should be either Yellow or White -- Not only are Yellow fog/aux lights legal, they provide excellent contrast with the White headlight which stands out to other vehicles, are more visible than Amber during daylight and of course, penetrate fog/mist/rain much better than Amber and even White. I would strongly recommend White or Yellow DRLs that switch to Amber when turn/hazard indicators are activated. I personally know at least 12 riders (including myself) that would buy these tomorrow if they had a Yellow DRL option.

Keine Angst, das kannste ohne Probleme. Der ganze Plastikkram muss aber runter. Die Zeit würde ich der Garage nicht bezahlen, das sind locker 2 Stunden. Was ich hier gesehen habe ist vorbildlich dokumentiert. Der Motocan oder hex easycan2, wird ganz einfach zwischengeschaltet. Keine technischen Kenntnisse notwendig! Falls es dir Angst macht, schau mal bei A Bike Thing vorbei! Mehrere Videos erklären das Prozedere.

How does this still need a PC and USB cable like it's the year 2000 in 2024. Holy smokes its even older. USB Micro? Really? Makes the product look 20 years outdated on day 1. Seriously must be so cheap to add Bluetooth and spend a little for a simple mobile companion app. The rest is pretty cool though. My only other problem is Lonerider should basically be called BMWrider and other bikes are just afterthought. I learned this when I bought the top box and basically got a bmw kit for a Africa Twin. So who knows if this will work as advertised. Makes me super nervous to buy Might have to wait until this product gets Bluetooth and a mobile app like it should have had in day 1

Can't manufactures workout that dangers for motorcycle riders are on the roads and aim for lights on road and not in trees. Sounds like too much hype to get those products off shelf and not protecting me as a motorcycle rider.

absolutely not. Just like the Denali setup, the Hexcan is via computer. If you wanted bluetooth the lights would be a lot heaver.

@@ridewitholdgrizz582 Bluetooth has nothing to do with the lights. It's the controller unit that would increase in size and then wold be harder to fit inside the bike. Besides, these are features that for the most part, oncve they are set up, you dont ever need to change again.
