Thank you for saving Chris Cooper until last. He is one of the most unappreciated actors we have today. I guess it's because I grew up a hard working Texas boy myself...and suffered some of the same losses. Absolutely loved in The Horse Whisperer. Thank you SO MUCH for including his biography!

Thank you for being such a good Lonesome Dove source. In the early 90s I moved from Boston to Austin to help manage a singers career. A chance comment dropped at dinner before taking on the job, was that watching the series and reading the book, were a requirement. Accepting the mutually beneficial offer, one of best developements, for me, was introducing me to one of McMurtry's 'masterpiece' works. If you;re here, I expect you've similar feelings. The well written character of Augustus McCrae became an instant hero. Duvall's (always in my top 5 rotating actor's list) portrayal, instantly replaced my childhood film hero of Errol Flynn's, Robin Hood, to that of Duvall's, Gus McCrae. Even at 73, a true statement I'm not embarassed to make, as every boy, no matter what age, needs a hero. Thanks Jerry. One observation; Anjelica Huston was born in 1951, not '91 as stated in your presentation. Only proof of a viewers 'paying attention to your work, not a critique. Thank's again to all.

None of us are Gus McCray no matter what we believe. Chris Cooper's role and performance as July Johnson is the only role in that miniseries that shows us how we could have a pistol but still be screwed to the max. He was the man next door always pushed into a corner he could not escape. Give everyone in the cast Oscars, well Emmys. Cooper's role always made me wonder what I would do in his situation. He played it well. They all did. Koodos to McMurtry.
