Let me first say that I've been a CNC Machinist in the Aerospace industry for half my 20 year experience and I've come to look at the quality of everything that crosses my path with a little scrutiny to detail. When I look at the products that come out of this shop I see a quality that differs from all other products available today. These are more than just functional smokers. They seem to have a artistic build to them. Very beautiful indeed! With that said I do see things that catch my eye that I feel can be approved. 1st being the casters. 5" casters just don't have what it takes to properly live with the beast that they carry. They maybe ok for a toolbox but for a smoker of this magnitude your upgraded casters should be standard. When I see those little casters on those beautiful smokers it reminds me of the body builder with scrawny legs. Regardless of the ability to hold 1k lbs per caster they need to have fluid mobility. 2nd, I've seen a few videos where I can see some tool marks on some of the inside panels. Regardless of the location of these panels they should never have any visible grind marks or anything. The inside should be just as perfect as the outside. 3rd gripe would be about the removable grates on the vertical boxes. I think they should have additional slots in between each grate for more adjustable range. 4th and last I'd use stainless steel washers on all hardware and stop using the hex bolts and upgrade to button head internal hex or Internal Hex Socket Cap-Head Cap Screws . These would prevent the use of sockets or wrenches being used against the surface of the smoker marring the paint. Other than those petty opinions of mine, I do see the most gorgeous smokers available!

I stopped by the show room to see this smoker. It is on my short list for my retirement smoker. The smoker is a work of art. Will be placing my order this summer.

It is one of our best sellers and its simply because it makes so much sense. A lot of cooking capacity in a smaller foot print with a easy to open door.

Have a question for the longevity of the smoker do you recommend the 1/2" firefox. From everything I see that tends to be the weakest link in all offsets.
@lonestargrillz5 жыл бұрын
@@noahkraft6453 If its in the budget then yes upgrade to the 1/2'' fire box, not only longevity but also double the thermal mass means better temp control and efficiency in colder weather. The key to any fire box is keeping the ashes cleaned out and treat the inside like a cast iron skillet, this will prevent rusting.

Chris could you tell me what the difference is between the 24" vertical and this one? The vertical is taller and narrower but seems to have quite a bit more capacity for the same price. Is there differences in performance in this one versus the vertical? I'm for sure wanting a cabinet or vertical offset style because I'd like to do true cold smoking in the fall or spring out here in Upper Michigan. That firebox griddle/grill is awesome design. I've imagined something like that in my mind but never could find an offset that had exactly what I was imagining lol. I've seen a few but they were flimsy or terrible design. I like how it's capped off well so the firebox is still really efficient.

I'm interested in getting one of the offsets or the insulated cabinet smokers. I live in Michigan anI am wondering how would the offset handle smoking in Michigan winter with the cold and snow? I have no doubt that the insulated cabinet could perform no problem in cold weather but I want to know about the offsets. If you could give me an idea then I can decide which one to purchase, thank you in advance
@lonestargrillz5 жыл бұрын
Yes the offset will most definitely handle the winters where you are with no problem at all.

Web page doesn't seem to be working, not for me anyway. How much for this as shown with an ash tray as well.
How tall are these with the three different wheel configurations? Has anyone tried pushing one these through grass without the offroad package? I didn't know if it was possible or not. Can a pork but fit on one of the racks without having to remove the rack above it? Thanks in advance!
