That is a piece of art. I am definitely going to steal some of those ideas when I build the frame for my 63. The extended shock mounts is genius, I never seen anyone else do that before.

Man you guys are awesome fellas!!! Thanks for the great info!!! It is a lot of work you did an awesome job!!! I agree on lots you have to say. I wish I had all the time to build everything myself too. I was just at a shop yesterday and they charge a lot for a partial wrap but it’s a headache as well. Those rear shocks mounts you welded in the rear did you buy those or make them yourself??? Does that help the back have a more significant cleaner ride in the rear???
@lonestarlows5 жыл бұрын
Ben thanks for watching. Time and money. You never have both at the same time. The shock mounts where made here at my house. Shocks do help. But it wont ride like a caddy. But it does help. And they also look good in chrome. Stay tuned

Great looking machine! How did you get the engine and transmission? Did you take it out of a car or get it all separate or a kit? I'm going to do something like this but I am worried about the computers and all that. My plan is to buy a wrecked car in the rear end and take everything out and put it in my 63. Moving the motor mounts might be above my pay grade. You do great work for sure. I would like to maybe see a video of where you do all your work. What kinds of tools you use that could be needed for something like this that are special and ones you don't really need, or the welders you use.

Thanks for not being selfish with your time This is Very very helpful So I am building a 61 Impala I already have the ls3 I am planning on using the TCI 6 speed tranny So do I have to cut my tunnel Or will it clear? It was not clear to me in the video it sounded like only if you were going to instal Hydraulics then the tunnel needed to be cut. also Will I be able to use the shifter on the column Or will I have to install a floor shifter.
@lonestarlows5 жыл бұрын
By tunnel do you mean driveshaft tunnel or floor pan? Driveshaft only if hydraulics. Floor pan cant tell without test fittong. U can buy the lokar universal column shift linkage
@dannyfelix64405 жыл бұрын
@@lonestarlows Well I guess I'm confused on the verbage when the body of the car gets Set on to the Chassis will it clear The transmission or will the body hit the transmission.
@lonestarlows5 жыл бұрын
Wont really know that until you test fitm alot of factors. Trans mount thickness. Body bushing thickness. Alot of moving parts. Best to test fit before final assembly
