A fabulous collection, Gary, thank you!, For those who didn't experience this fabulous era, these photos are of the remains of that era, and along with the stories from those of us who remember these WONDERFUL THEATRES; it passes into history, For us in that mode of recollections, i.e. ,the theatres, ; the movies shown in them; and the history of such things..... we can only say that it has been a very tragic thing to witness...thanks again for putting this up.

Oh, I understand your showing the Hollywood and Los Angeles theaters that closed down. I saw these abandoned buildings every time went I to l.a

I used to help maintain the Kimball pipe organ that was in the Wilturn. Now, the theatre is restored but the organ was removed and sold as parts. Breaks my heart.

I would guess that the multi-plex theaters are next on the list? Streaming movies will soon dominate. I miss the theater experience personally.
