Hey fam, just correcting something I said in the video! After some research/testing, it looks like Tenderizer does apply similarly to Suppressor. So when you hit an enemy, the increased damage effect begins and will expire within the specified seconds. However, as soon as you hit the enemy again, the timer effectively restarts and will continue to restart each time you hit the enemy. So paired with heavy weapons, this is an amazing effect, even at rank 1. Point being, absolutely use Tenderizer against enemies you’re more confident you can take out easier, but use Suppressor if you need a bit more defense against a high damage output enemy. Also! Serendipity doesn't work on power armor for those suggesting it. Since this video too I've also swapped from one gun army to ricochet in luck and it's absolutely making me a little more tanky! Angry turtle tested tenderizer and it does around 10% extra damage at rank 3, so it's great for melee and unarmed builds if you can spare the points.

Decent build man:-), I also use Bloodied heavy gunner/melee/shotgunner in one for a long time and can give you few tips. Fireproof is unnecessary in PA even on the Queen rather use stimpack every now and then instead. Rather put there Lifegiver, Rejuvenated or both at once to maximize your minimal health and AP regen. Same for Blocker tbh. I use it only when I swap to melee, otherwise, it's not necessary. Dodgy again not needed it just eats AP and One Gun Army is useless now since it's no longer works on the Queen. In terms of PA - with protocols, adrenal reactions and nerd rage there is pretty much no difference in the incoming damage so rather go for the set bonus - excavator gets you more carry weight and you can harvest 4x more ores for ammo. For weapons, I've recently upgraded to Wastelanders ones, and they rock. Plasma Caster is capable of one-shot all the regular mobs without headshot (concentrated fire isn't much help in PA builds anyway) and stacked Adrenaline and its range and accuracy are just insane. I use it with VATS and Grim Reaper's Sprint and it's pretty much fast firing sniper rifle. (Soloing all ghouls in the Radiation Rumble just sitting in the middle and VATSing). My second loadout is for shotgun, pretty much any will do, but new Gauss Shotgun is simply a beast, even not magic one can kill the Queen in few moments, I don't even bother using Demo Expert, because the Queen is immune and everything else (even Behemoth) dies in one shot. And on the end, if you use Herbivore like me, Groud Soup gives some extra AP regen and you can grow it in the camp:-) I hope it will help:-)

These are fantastic points mate! Thanks so much. I definitely find fireproof necessary. I was actually getting really hurt without it on. I definitely do need to try rejuvenated though - someone else suggested it too. Maybe I'll swap out my batteries included once I drain my energy ammo. I'm actually testing ricochet instead of one gun army so seeing how that goes. I don't mind dodgy eating ap since I don't use VATS much anyway. I do notice though a difference with damage resistance when it comes to the t65 vs excavator. What's your experience like with the two? I feel way more safe in t65. And yeah I'm trying to get bloodied versions of the Wastelanders weapons. First up is the gauss minigun. Just crafted 48 of them in a video and didn't get bloodied haha, better luck next time right!

LoneVaultWanderer Damage Resistances have diminishing returns, thus the difference between resistances in PA (at least for X-01, T65, and Ultracite) doesn’t really matter much. Just hope they fix OGA because it should be a core in a heavy gunner build...

Just putting in my 2 cents. I am a Heavy Junkies build. I don't use the explosive but try for the FFR instead. Bandolier for me instead of Pharmacy. As 10 stimpacks normally work great for me. Endurance I use Life-Giver @ 4 because if you fall below 45 hit pts and then move around it gives you life back to 45 hit points. saving stim packs. Charisma for me is: Lone Wandor, 4, Tenderizer 1, Strange in Numbers 1, I have nerd rage and stabilized only. I use the 7 pts in other areas. In luck, I ditched one gun army because only the sbq really needed it. I go with ricochet 18% less damage,

When you're leveling do you level with completely different stuff and then respec once you get higher level to use this stuff? I mean I imagine you don't have heavy weapons and power armor in the early game? I haven't actually ever played this game, not sure how the system works, would you apply and build towards this as you level or level a different way/build and then change to this for end game. I mean I know this is an end game build but I just mean more general for power armor and heavy weapons, is that something you can even feasibly run while leveling?

Yes I usually start with a shotgun build early on till endgame because you can one shot most things and only having to use one shell per creature helps to conserve ammo.

Those are nice, but calibrated shocks is extremely good for carry weight when not in excavator, heavy guns weight a lot so if you don’t want bear arms calibrated shocks is extremely useful.

Love the video but i recommend carnivore because pepperoni roll u get 60 carry weight, ribeye steak 40 carry weight or in general creatures drop meat so u never need to carry food around at all. Veggies arent always in some areas but there is always creatures or enemies that drop meat within areas

You should drop One Gun Army (Scorch Beast Queen is immune to stagger/limb damage) and pick up Serendipity instead. With a hyper damage bloody build like this, most things that you are shooting at will die within a couple shots at most (especially with a bloodied gatling gun) and explosive bullet weapons already have a good chance to cause a stagger if you didn't instantly kill your target. I would say drop 4 points from Agility and the Adrenaline perk card (and take escape artist so that its easier to stealth/sneak around both in and out of power armor, just my recommendation) And move those 4 points Into Endurance for Lifegiver. Not only does it give you a bit more HP to work with, you get secret health regeneration when you get to lower health. And if you arent running explosive weapons specifically, I would change out Demolition Expert for Gunsmith lv5, as the increased longevity of weapon durability is significant. Or take Power User lv3 (especially if you use energy weapons like gatling laser/ultracite gatling laser/and more power armor core uptime) and take something like scrapper and just demo expert lv1 or gunsmith lv2/demo expert lv2 if you dont plan on investing any further points into intelligence. And swap out Bloody Mess for Class Freak lv3 Just my two cents to improve this build for those looking for more of a general cookie cutter bloodied power armor build. (on a side note; they seriously have too many important perk cards packed into Intelligence, things like stim pack/radaway cards should be put into Endurance, and a lot of the Endurance perk cards need to be consolidated, outside of lifegiver and fireproof, most of the cards are really crap and not worth taking or should be combine together). The only other things I would recommend is to take healing factor mutation (self healing outside of battle even when not doing a bloodied build is good, and if you rely on stims you can take the perk card First Aid lv1 which nullifies the negative healing bonus to stims from the healing factor mutation. and possibly take the Egghead mutation. And to have Super Duper lv3, Hard Bargain lv3 and Ammo Smith lv2 to swap out with actionboy, strange in numbers/field surgeon and serendipity so that you can maximize crafting ammo (+80% increased ammo when crafting) and chems. Hell, Super Duper works on everything except quest items and legendary item crafting, so its easy to craft multiples of weapons/armor/power armor to pick the highest durability to keep or just making more items to sell to traders. On another side note to people considering Bloodied builds, the biggest weakness to bloodied is acid/poison damage and large explosions (like a vehicle blowing up). Things like Stingwings and mirelurk kings/queens can pretty easily kill you with 1 or 2 hits if you dont hit the stimpack button fast enough. Poison/acid damage acts like a debuff, not pure damage so things like Serendipity, nerd rage and emergency protocols will not really stop the damage from it. And explosions (if not dodged/ignored with serendipity) also will kill you more often than not.

It just depends. If you play a lot and can easily get the materials for it, like flux, for sure. If you don't or just want an easier ammunition to find and craft, then remove the prime :)

as an explosive shotgun user I can attest that yes, you do end up killing or seriously injuring yourself if the enemies get too close. in fallout 4 there was a perk called friendly fire that negated that damage, but to my knowledge it doesnt work that way in 76. also, do all explosive weapons degrade so quickly? my explosive shotgun is always needing to be fixed and gets broken is some very inconvenient situations.

I think they do yeah. Get the Fireproof perk in endurance! I use that with my gauss shotgun and when I'm in power armor I dont do any damage to myself at all. If you combine it with Dodgy, you can manage to do zero damage to yourself out of power armor (may even be possible with just Fireproof and high enough defence?) The only issue is you will still cripple yourself.

I've been playing a Bloodied PA build for several months and started out, fundamentally, where your build is at now; Explosive weapons, supporting perks, etc. My setup also has the Gatling Gun, but my 'big guy killer' is a Minigun rather than the .50 Cal because it also uses 5mm ammo... The downside being the spin-up/down interferes with using chems in a pinch. Your build is pretty squishy though for a B-PA setup--I have some suggestions if you're interested in hearing them.

​@@mitch58 The Bloodied build having such a small health pool makes it susceptible to the Sheepsquatch head laser and Poison damage from Mirelurk King melee, Mirelurk Hunter/Queen spit attacks and to a lesser extent Stingwings because they either do massive damage or the damage bypasses the mitigation of your Armor, respectively. So where LVW's health disappears at a high rate from the standard attacks of turrets and normal assaultrons, the attacks outlined above will decimate it in 2-3 seconds. At the same time, Explosive weapons, while fun, are not efficient weapons because they need 5 Perk Card slots to fully utilize on top of the weapon damage/utility cards (8 for Fire Proof if you don't want to kill yourself in CQB). For that reason, I switched to Faster Fire weapons because the single-target damage is comparable while needing no extra perks... You just have to start hitting your targets instead of the ground near them, hehe. The summarized changes I'd make: Swap out Explosive weapon for Faster Fire. Remove Fireproof 3, Demolition Expert 5, One Gun Army 3. Set SPECIALs to these *minimums*: 15 Strength, 1 Perception, 6 Endurance, 4 Charisma , 6 Intelligence, 8 Agility, 8 Luck. Use these baseline Perks: Lifegiver 4 and Rejuvenated 2 for Endurance, Nerd Rage 3 and Stabilized 3 for Intelligence, Adrenaline Rush 5 and Dodgy 3 for Agility. Starched Genes 2, Bloody Mess 3 and Class Freak 3 for Luck. The Strength layout is good but Blocker 3 is unnecessary. You should have 8 perk slots available to use wherever you want to personalize the build, but that is the baseline layout. Since Bloodied is based on percentage, the higher your total HP, the more HP you have in your 20% pool, which is where Lifegiver and Rejuvenated come in; collectively adding a significant amount of relative health provided you stay above 75% Food and Water. For Chems it's a matter of preference--You can use Pyschobuff for the extra Health and Damage, but it screws with your health pool, and by extension your bonuses, every time it activates and wears off, or use Pyschotats to avoid the mess altogether... At the expense of the health bonus.

If you're not using explosive weapons then yeah it's a solid choice, though the damage resistance that fireproof gives you again all explosives and Scorchbeast attacks is nice

@@LoneVaultWanderer The scorchbeast queen has extremely high resistance to explosive damages. And most of my death were caused by toxic damages which ignore my armor. Sometimes I can't even heal. So I think increase the maximum health would be a wise choice for higher survivability.

Fusion Cores are easy to get. Just take over a Power Plant Yard, do the powering up Event and watch the Cores roll in.

Personally I find carnivore more useful since basically all enemies that aren't humanoid or robot drop meat. So you don't get stuck carrying so many items. On non heavy armor builds the cannibal perk card is nice because that allows you to have constant sources of food with both it and carnivore, aside when fighting robots. Basically at that point you only need water and you can drop and gather food as you need it.

Just some food for thought. You might try nixing batteries included and one point less in one gun army to pick up three points in lifegiver which would increase your max life at 20% or Serendipity for a constant 45% chance to avoid all damage. Now i could understand having one gun army before wastelanders because you could cripple the SBQ's wing and force her to land but now you cant do that which make one gun army pretty useless compared to the extra health or extra chance to not take damage at all. Just my two cents, other than that great build.

As mentioned I definitely do want to get rid of batteries included once I manage my energy ammo. How do you carry anything with barely any carry weight perks? I don't get it. I have nearly all my strength in carry weight perks and I still struggle with inventory space. I don't understand how players have heavy guns, power armor, no wieght perks, and can play that way just fine. Please advise how you manage to not be over encumbered permanently with that build.

Something you said around the 3:00 mark when you said there are no perks to increase durability on weapons, i do not know if you simply meant no perks in the build itself or you were unaware of the existence of said perks. On the off chance that the latter is correct, the various weapon crafting cards at max rank will also make the relevant weapons lose durability slower when equipped, master plumber for pipe weapons, makeshift expert for melee, gunsmith for pretty much every other ranged weapon, power smith for power armor and i think either armorer or white knight for regular armor (i almost never leave my PA so can't remember clearly). I keep gunsmith on 24/7 for the most part and the only weapon i have ever had to repair in the field is my AAE flamer. There is also a luck perk that has a chance to repair your gun every time you hit an enemy. Which for most heavy weapons will be alot due to their full auto nature.

More points in endurance would be a better option to make you tanky than Dodgy. Dodgy is not dependable as you can't control when it procs, but a higher life total will allow you to better absorb those spike attacks and it will also increase the effectiveness of your stim packs. Also One Gun Army is not needed at all, a better option would be Ricochet.

I believe serendipity would work better than Dodgy since it doesn't require AP (so no need for 6 AGI) and it should deny more damage in a bloodied build? 45% of all damage blocked (statistically speaking if you don't get unlucky) + 3 perkpoints to spare

The SBQ does not take explosive damage, that is why you were doing so little damage to her. Other than that cool tanky build!

Thanks mate! Researched this a bit and it looks like she does, but it's more that the second hit with explosive (and even two shot) just does less damage than otherwise. From Reddit:. "It's not so much that the SBQ is especially resistant to explosive damage (she isn't), but that the Explosive legendary effect adds an additional hit with much lower damage than the base damage of the gun. This hit goes both through the 70% upfront damage reduction and then through the SBQ's high DR rating, meaning that it is reduced to basically nothing. The same goes essentially for the Two-Shot effect, which splits the damage into two hits with 62,5% each of the gun's base damage. TL;DR: for the SBQ fight it is better to have effects that increase the damage per hit instead of adding additional hits. Both Two-Shot and Explosive do the latter."

LoneVaultWanderer LoneVaultWanderer yeah I’ve seen that post, maybe I phrased it wrong, what I meant is that that secondary effect split (explosive or two shot) it’s reduced to basically nothing due to the Queen’s high DR. As explained in this post the best option is to increase the damaged per hit instead of additional hits. I would assume a bloodied Gauss Minigun would do wonders to your build, since it fits perfectly with your perks and it seems to be quite effective against the SBQ. Congrats on the T-65 full set! Would you recommend that it’s worth the grind?

That's right, so I am actually now swapping in between ricochet and one gun army as the need arises :) I'm trying my best to get the bloodied gauss Minigun but it's hard haha. It's such a great power armor and I love the look!

I’d say you can run glow sights which is a better investment as a crap ton of enemies become glowing as they go higher level so it just makes it easier to shred them

idk about everyone else, but as much as I do enjoy bloody mess for the damage increase, I don't like my enemies turning to giblets cause it makes looting take alot longer, earlier today I had a car explode on a legendary enemy, and they turned to giblets and it took me over 30 minutes to find his corpse to loot him
